the vibe of anything will never be the same, so chasing the old vibe will invariably lead to disappointment. Basically the same as the trail angel said to you about expectation and disappointment.

One thing I noticed on the Trail was how much keener your senses become. I could smell either exhaust or a cigarette and know a road was about 2 miles away.

You have such a beautiful smile and attitude while on the trail that it is making my decision to make plans to hike the AT next year. I’m a U.S. Army veteran and have been getting ready this year so far to get in shape to be able to tackle the AT. I’m disabled with 9 back surgeries and 2 neck surgeries, so it’s going to take me awhile, but I’m so excited as I watch your videos. It makes my heart so happy!!!

I really love that you’re embracing this journey and taking moments to just be present. It’s a good inspiration for all of us watching. I wanted to mention ( and I really hope this isn’t the case) but, do you think it’s possible that you are allergic to the down in your sleeping bag? I remember watching Dixie (YT channel: Homemade Wanderlust), a well known thru hiker who had that issue. Just a thought. Looking forward to your future videos.

Your animal sound was probably either a fox or a coyote. I also did my first 20 mile day over Albert. You seem like you're hiking fast. Don't worry too much about zeros. It took me 191 days to hike the trail in 1990 but I had 79 zero days. Listen to your body, it will tell you everything. Hike safe, Hike strong.

High sodium diet will make you puffy for sure. Drinking more water will help you eliminate more as you go. Probably going to be a fairly regular pattern so you might just be healthy and stuck with it as you hike.
My 10-year-old daughter's (Maelyn) trail name is "Crunchy Butt" because she's always struggling (and rarely succeeding) to dig wedgies out of her butt while she's hiking. We're loving the videos (my wife Bear Claw thru-hiked in '18) - you, Audrey and Popcorn are our favorite channels.

Could be a down allergy, from your sleeping bag. I have seen it before when i was younger.
It happened one night in a hostel bed so I don’t think so- but I might just be really hoping not!! Haha

Yeah, that’s not uncommon at hostels. Chica & Sunsets let me know ahead of time and confirmed that was okay with me.
