@@Ultima013 Actually the mangaka of og series - Takao Aoki used to play beyblade before drawing the fight scenes to get the correct practical movement. So, maybe he did that too.
Can we all appreciate that in 2023, a grown-ass man replicated something from an anime that won't get him thrown in jail? I feel like this is a big win for humanity overall.
String launchers are superior. Takara Tomy, the Japanese Beyblade production company sells them and you can get normal length ones or longer ones. The Beyblades themselves are also vastly superior in nearly every way though they are more expensive.
@@SketchyGrandpa beyblade bursts first season is actualy beyblade burst also i would've said that the first beyblade series was metal fight cus i grew up with that shit
When I was a kid you could just go to the dollar store and find 2-3 ft rip cords. All the beyblades were metal fighters as well, those were the good days.
That's genius because Hasbro Burst doesn't have a real long winder (besides the Valkyrie V6 Sparking Launcher), so making one like how Tyson does makes a lot of sense.
I think it’s dope that they actually thought of a way for him to do that without it breaking if you did it irl. Although it was probably just to increase ripcord sales.
People used to sell like 2-3 foot off brand ripcords for Beyblade like 20 years ago lmao. Every kid in Asia that owned a KO Beyblade had tons of those. Sure they broke easily but damn they were fun.
It's like Speed/Power vs Acceleration. Short cords have light and better spin acceleration, while longer ones give more spin power but it is risky for a Blade base to stress out durable plastic like sharp types (it will sand off the tip easily with old Dranzers ) so wide type blade base like Dragoons etc is recommended.
it was harder to launch in the anime as well and that fact actually makes this experiment even better as it shows that there were exaggerated yet realistic applications in it.
Woaaaa, been a while since i saw beyblades! I think i still have mine stored! hahaha So, if im not mistaken, a longer cord is useful if u have a HEAVY beyblade (I had a full metal with 3 rings). Such heavy Beyblade you cant normally spin cause when you pull the cord from the launcher fast with the load... you will either break the launcher, snap the cord or it will false spin. So, u use a big cord so you have way to accelerate slower until the top speed. Small beyblades with too long cords usually u end up moving the launcher hand too much and they fall in an odd angle and shit happens.
When I was a kid I used to burn both points and mend them together. It works pretty well but you need to make sure you can pull the whole cord at once.
@@BeybladeDad takes me back in the day early in Mexico my brothers & I would watch the show & buy bootleg Beyblades till we came back to the US. After that the newer show came out & it got my cousins & I hooked Much love dope channel 🙏

They used to sell extended rip cords way back. Pull my friends got the double launcher just to get the cord. I made my own cable with plastic glue and your second method but that was on my own. To allow your pulle to go smoother, have the section you hold on to be the section with the teeth not cut off. I completely randomly found your video as I scrolling through shorts And it brought back some good memories 😅
It's not just the surface area, it's the direction of the joint. By having it follow the length of the winder, the glue is being pulled side-to-side rather than stretched in the direction of travel. The chemical bonds of the glue are stronger in some directions than others.
When I was a kid I would take the razor blades out of pencil sharpeners and glue them to the weights in my Beyblade, fuggin take chonks out of the others kids Beyblades
As a multi-time underground Beyblade champion, I can definitely say a longer cord is better. However; after a certain length, it will not continue to add momentum. Additionally; only using part of the cord is sometimes better,.depending on the arena and Beyblade setup.
As a kid I played against my friend and when I "Let it rip" it would go flying off the stadium and start ripping into my friends thigh. Did that like 3 times before he quit. Good times.
I remember seeing aftermarket cords that were already very long, but they were made of very awful plastic so they would break very easily. Now my favorite aftermarket parts were the big metal discs that were way larger than the official ones.
Ah. The good old days of Bit Beasts and a Beyblade breaking was an epic achievement. I still remember when my brother's Dragoon did the impossible and broke his friend's Metal Dragoon
The ripcord size only matters if you can't get it to full speed with the normal length. There is a perfect sweet spot in length where you are increasing it's spin speed for every moment you're pulling the cord. If the cord exceeds that exact point, it either goes no faster or slows down due to your arm slowing down as it reaches full length.
Actually, they did make an interlocking rip cord waaaay back when there was hundreds of knockoff beyblades. Idk if it came from hasbro but my whole school was caught up in the hype and this ONE kid brought in a THREE CORD LONG rip cord and it was so crazy he had to take one of the click-in extensions off 😅
When the show was airing in Canada, all the dollar stores started jumping on the Beyblade Chinese knockoff bandwagon. They used to stock rip cords that were up to a meter (3foot) in length. Absolute destruction. I had several beys that would eventually just shatter from the centrifugal force.
