Meet Lorena Santana and Jorge F. Sánchez (Jofras), two professors at CETYS Universidad who are inspiring the next generation of innovators through design thinking.
Lorena and Jofras are redefining education by applying a multidisciplinary approach which emphasizes: empathy, ideation, and prototyping, equipping students with the tools to transform ideas into meaningful projects that impact communities and redefine urban spaces.
Through their work, they have empowered women, community members and students to envision a better future for Tijuana by leveraging design as a platform for innovation and civic engagement.
One remarkable example is Dear Honey, founded by their former student Elia Figueroa- an apiary project combining sustainability, education, and community, showing how design-driven entrepreneurship can spark local and global change.
