@@jarlathgeraghty6572 Yea its orange and pink these days haha I do find the carlite nicer to use on the most , yea that insta clip is the drill whipping up some render for bands
It’s called a podger Mac , we used to call it just a hand whisk. I used to mix up for 3 plasterers with it when I served my apprentership 30 years ago , the plasterers used to call me horse because my traps came up to ears , used to mix first with a timber Batton to consistency then hand whisk for short as possible to not put to much air into mix, forget all that nonsense now I’m straight in with the whisk , good old days my ass 😆👍
haha yes the good old plunger we called it haha a bike gear coge welded to a handle I sure dont miss it not at all on site me been the younger guy had to mix all the bonding with it for beads not easy at all then if the old drill broke again i was stuck with the mixing all of a sudden the labourer was off sick LOL I dont miss it one little bit
@@willholt100 The light is brilliant to mate was mixing up render today it makes a big difference so handy all these years never knew what we where missing :)
Not sure mate one with it seems pk up to 2 bags not sure it's supposed to mix that amount but doing good so far where as I think I burnt out the collomix bat mixer that way again this drill is just brilliant for the in out jobs 👍
What happened to the rubi and collomix mate? I tried the dewalt cordless and didnt like it tbh.......much prefer my megamixer and its only the mm22 n all 🤣
@@macplastering bulletproof mate and like yourself I have the older version with the trigger lock as I know with the new one they banned it (what a joke) 🤣 that's interesting I thought the collomix wouldve been a good drill as they are predominantly a mixing company tbf. would be interesting is a mega mixer went bat powered yes i think we put the collomix under to much pressure lol mate had one as well n went same way like a bad connection to the bat, but yes the we rubi still spinning :) think this one could turn out a nice wee drill tooo
Hi mate so its nit as strong as the bigger drills but thing is it was only designed to mix a bag at a time so for what's its built for so far it right up there at the ten love the light it has great idea that for a mixing drill and with 2 batteries you just charge one while using other 1 will last all day no problems
i think it mixed good mate think its to be used 1 bag at a time but 1st mix was 1 and a half i think not as strong as bigger drills but not nosier either :)
@@lmilne4859 Think it can depend on the whisk i hear some throw the gear down not up like the refina mega mixer mixes well but don't chuck gear up at all think this is similar obv not as strong as the bigger drills
@mac plastering ya skimcoat, but the quality is gone to shite lately, another plasterer i know had to get the gypsum rep out. He stayed on site with him for the day and refunded the pallet.
yea carlites nice and creamy most time very consistent thistle can be good but can be gritty and hard to trowel in on the arms the skimcoat me and the mate was using was very nice similar to carlite
mixing render here

Not on Instagram mac. We got thistle finish before from the north, very reddish in colour and lovely to use.

Ive just bought one Mac. Cant wait to try it on Monday 👍
Class we drill mate light but got a nice kick to it brilliant for patch jobs and one room here and there 👍
Do you reckon it would struggle with tile adhesive
No mate be grand as long as its not massive amounts per mix I have made sand and cement render with it for small loads of times now
How would you compare it to dewalt cordless mixer? Would it be strong enough to mix dab drywall adhesive?
Wouldn't be as strong but it's going great for me still great for in out jobs again a great little drill not as powerful as the big dewalt but lighter
Nice 1 mac how did it fair 5 bags it’s maximum on multifinish as stated ?
Cheers
Would say even bar would get 2 bags mixed max so between 5 and 8 bag on the 8ah bat
will try make a short on this unboxing and in use
What's the orange button on the front for mac? Does it lock the paddle, as I only see one spanner? It looks decent, to be fair.
Im not sure mate i was able to just hold it and get it tight
Yes it locks the arbour so you only need one spanner which is housed one board to make changing easier.
@@willholt100 Nice 1 cheers buddy :):)
@@macplastering No worries, glad you like it. A lot of thought went into the design of it from our design team in Sheffield.

It's in the link mate around 200 I think
And I looked that erauber one too😀

Not overly impressed with it pal, looks like its struggling to be honest.. its only skim so should be throwing it around the bucket...

That's it mixing render for bands so stiffish gear mate but the light shows well here to
150 or 200mm paddle would throw it about the bucket 54v Dewalt is top notch throws the krend and cement about great so plaster wouldn’t be a issue.
