My uncle got one of these for about 20,000 or so, had a problem with oil leaking bad. Turns out, it was an o ring. An O RING. He fixed it and recently got his exhaust straight piped. Sounds amazing. The a8l w12 is a masterpiece of machinery. It glides like phantom over the highways even at 120 miles per hour.

At low rpms it sounds like an Aston Martin and at high rpm it sound like a Lamborghini, which makes total sense

Probably expensive to maintain, but that sound makes it worth it

I mean typical maintenance is what costs, cause there is 12, 6 or 8 of things. Its just 2 VR6 engines, the older versions share some parts with the Jetta 2.8 VR6. Its relatively inexpensive, most expensive problem you will ever come to face if you cant do it yourself is the timing chain, at the back of the engine or the torque converter going out, both are a given, but if babied the torque converter will last onwards 300k miles, just likes some peoples clutches. The most expensive engine to maintain in VAG is the V12 TDI, V10 TDI, W12 Twin Turbo, V10, W12 etc. Its only costly because most take it to a dealer, they have the money, or don't know how, or want to work on it themselves.

Ich fahre den D3 als S8 (Videos in meinem Kanal)
Wenn es den V10 nicht gegeben hätte würde ich auch W12 fahren.
Gerade in deinem Video ist der Sound unvergleichlich gut!!
Untertourig sanft und kraftvoll brabbelnd und oben rum heiser schreiend, aber niemald blechern, die Anlage ist eine der besten die ich bei einem Zwölfzylinder gehört habe, Daumen hoch!!
Ich hoffe den Wagen einmal live zu hören, vielleicht auf dem A8-Treffen im August in Deutschland?

Personally this is a bit too much for me. Would it be better to remove the resonator and leave the silencers, or remove the silencers and keep the resonator?

Its on air suspension and was in the highest mode!

@@DeutschTech DId they use VCDS to get it lower, cause in highest mode it should be QUITE a bit higher. Unless those are 22in wheels that is not factory LIFT mode height.
