  • We may hate the game show (Peck's version anyway's as Alan Thicke's version was a-okay) and probably even the John Ritter sitcom too, but if you're like me, you probably love the theme song to the original game show version of 3's a Crowd. And here it is!

I wonder how many couples from 3's a Crowd later popped up on Divorce Court, which Jim Peck narrated.

Thank you so much for posting this gem. I loved all of Chuck Barris' shows and this theme is a MONSTER!!

I love this theme and I use it to taunt my senior cat. I put this music on while I repeatedly poke her to the beat of the music. It's fun to see how long it takes before she gets pissed off and begins to scratch and bite me

If this show were to be revived, I'd recommend this:
"From Hollywood, it's 3's a Crowd! Yes, it's 3's a Crowd, the game that determines who knows the bachelor best: His girlfriend or his sister. And now, here are today's bachelors: (insert all three bachelors' names here). And now, here's your host, Joel McHale!"
The team who scores the highest, the girlfriends or the sisters, splits a cash prize of $15,000. Both teams split it if tied. And to make it more interesting for the bachelors, the one whose girlfriend and sister make the most matches wins $15,000 of his own. Tied bachelors split the dough.

Interesting, but I'd have it be their spouse or their ex.

Far less romantic relationships will be severed if they go with girlfriends and sisters.

@@GamingDelight Ah, but that makes it safer. Severed relationships make for good TV. Besides, I reckon with the original, these men should've known what they were in for.

Real-life severed relationships should not be meant for TV, especially if one party gets the wrong idea. I prefer the safe way out. Severed relationships are meant for fiction.

This show needs to be reaired on Canada's GameTV and other channels. However, it should be in high quality

Ya know something? I felt bad for Jim Peck hosting this show, I'll betcha that Jim Lange of The Dating Game and Bob Eubanks of the Newlywed Game and even Geoff Edwards or Treasure Hunt were probably sayin' glad we didn't host this dreck of a Game Show lol

@@marcpower4167 The Big Showdown was Jim Peck's best show. He seemed ill at ease when he did You Don't Say! (the revival in 1978-79); he got that job because YDS!'s original and best host Tom Kennedy was busy doing The $100,000 Name That Tune.

I think it would be Chuck Barris, since he wrote the music for most of his game shows. However, I would also say Milton DeLugg and his band with a thug performed it.
