I’m a Ron Paul libertarian type, but when I first voted for Trump my reasoning was, “This is a guy whose ego is so huge that I know he won’t do a bad job. It’s not that he cares about ‘the country’, it’s that he wants to be remembered as the greatest President. And that means he’s going to be obsessed with doing a good job.”
But let’s not forget who Trump is. He is a guy who always wants it to be about him. And as long as that means the country gets better, he can take as much credit as he wants. I’m just happy we’re all better off.
