The question itself, "Are women's rights worth fighting for?" , is so damn demeaning. Women are not objects that you can determine weather or not to give them rights, we are humans! And about feminism, it's so frustrating that people can't seem to understand that feminism=equality just like how mankind= all humans. Most Indian people act as if being as feminist is the worst thing possible, we wonder why our country isn't moving forward, maybe its due to our narrow mindset.

What he said is really the definition of feminism. Equal doesnt mean identical, men and women are different but that doesn't mean that it would lead to special privileges. Feminism provides choice, whether someone wants to expose their skin or whether they want to wear heels, it's all up to them but that wont lead them to be superior or inferior. Its all about choices.

"women want to be like men" that would only be a pathology if you consider men not worthy of being looked up to. We unknowingly look up to our moms and dads, or achievers. "I identify as a woman" biological differences are a fact and it shapes our reality, we cannot live in ignorance of it. Also, western women/men are on anti-depressants bcz western society acknowledges mental health issues a lot better than Indian society, they are focused on fixing their issues not denying them like us.

Their scientific contributions are no joke. Meditation is a healthy practice and it has a lot of benefits but it's hardly proactive to use it as a "one shoe fits all scheme". Proactive people keep pushing the boundaries of their discoveries. Heck! The physiological benefits of it were studied by them and not us, and we depend on the literature they generate for things WE invented. So much for being proactive...

When he says in the beginning "they're only being reactive but then their empty at the end of the day" - it is such a dangerous blanket statement to make. Women might be homemakers, yes. But feminism was born because women were not even recognised as PEOPLE outside of their house- no voting rights, couldn't work- basically they couldn't get by alone... Yes women have historically run houses, even if economics is not the most important thing, freedom is and financial freedom is part of it.

Respectfully, I disagree with him completely. As a woman I live in west and women are nothing like that here, they don’t have to find balance between different parts, cause everyone is equal and money is not really an object as everyone has access to minimum financial stability. Faminism has different branches and what women want, is exactly equal opportunities in the society as men, that has nothing to do with acting like men. When in a society people have extra priviliges based on their gender in this case “men”, of course gender becomes a topic and equivalence happens by that group giving up their extra priviliges and agree to the other gender” women” having equal rights as them. That has happend in the West and Scandinavian countries and that is why the gender concept has faded away and people treat each other as humans exactly because of feminism and democracy.Do we see that in India yet? No. Why? Because women are not equal with men yet, and that’s exactly why gender is still a bold topic. We live in a society that strereotypes don’t work anymore and we should accept that. Men are humans so “acting like men” makes no sense. I’m a bit disappointed that Sadhguru defines feminism so shallow.

Women and men have both feminine and muscline identity, you can also find it in psychoanalysis,.That doesn’t justify women not having access to their basic rights in the society. If we want the humans to treat each other regardless of gender, we must give them equal opportunitites and rights. And not everyone is religious or believes in god, that’s why religion must be kept outside of politics and laws. I am damn sure sadhguru is confused with feminism and capitalism. Capitalism 1) Comes mostly from United States, 2) Forces humans to compete, 3) Competition is based on money, 4) Forces women's/human to choose field that makes them earn more instead of gaining utility from work. In a world that is competitive and success driven. Why sadhguru wants women to slow down. This will create imbalance again. Btw being born a woman doesn't always mean that she 100% has to be feminine. And why is responsibility of bringing balance on women again. Men have feminine traits too. He is just wrong, majority of woman who are depressed are came from poverty. And in america woman where much better in living condition than ever. Sadh guru will say male dominantion are there because men used to make money. What about the horrible practices of india? Like sati, widow pratice, child marriage etc? Feminism is not about being men. Its about equality. Surly there are lots of inequality based on the sex. Still my parents consider women are the only one to do works in the house. And most girls are compelled to marry before a job. We too have dreams. And we cant go out at night. If a girl is been raped there are people who say that its because she was wearing a short dress or she was out at night. This is to be changed. And you said about the western countries women trying to be men wearing heals and suits and making their lifes difficult. Understatd one thing they are doing their dream job. And there are dress codes to a job man also need that dressing., he is not suppose to wear the trousers he wear at home. Its the time of mechines. Everyone can operate mechines. Its because of femism we reached here, before there were no rights for women. And still there are inequality based on sex so feminism is needed. Its about the freedom and embitions we have, not about being man.

1. He is not much of a guru in some of the topics that he chooses to address. For example when he says that in western culture women are trying to be more like men in Businesses as a bad thing. But that is not actually quite true. Because a Business must predict success and the traits that show success is slightly extended towards masculine characteristics. This is precise because of the difference between men and women as he stated. Women are likely to be more caring and compassionate than men and that didn't predict success in a Business field. So what they can do is adopt some male characteristics like toughness as a tool to gain success. There is no wrong in that. I think that is exactly what they have to do. Because women are competing with men and it is better to adopt some male characteristics to survive and be successful among them.
2. Sadly today's Feminists don't quite catch that the above has nothing to do with unfairness between men and women. That's the way it is and that's how we are hardwired. But this doesn't that we can't do anything about it. We can regulate and adopt to lead a success full life for both men and women.
3. I would also add a point to one of his statement which is everyone needs equality of opportunity. But I combine a small suggestion to that which is we need Equality of opportunities along with some rules or regulation with it. Because think for a moment, if this idea is unchecked then both men and women tend to choose their career as they like and rapidly distribute themselves to the extremes. That is there will be a situation arrives where only male-dominated fields and only female-dominated fields.
For example, Compassionate job like teaching and nursing then will be only dominated by female and there will be no male teacher or nurse. Same goes for Hardworking and a tough job like Engineering and Technology which will be dominated only by male. This is somewhat surprising and becomes a flaw of this unchecked equality of opportunity. What I am saying is, as more we lead our society to this idea more the difference will be between men and women which is opposite of what we expect. Because if such an idea like unchecked equality of opportunity predominantly grows, men choose to do tougher and dangerous jobs and paid more than women who choose safer jobs and paid less which in turn create another problem called the gender pay gap which is again largely misunderstood by Feminists(don't think this is the sole reason for the gender pay gap).
