I have some Early Engineers Thomas's. I remember clearly when this line came out it was a total shelf / peg sitter. It was also expensive. And what was confusing it was on the same pegs in store as the 'normal' TWR. It was also a curious time because Chuggington was new on the scene, and all fo a sudden Thomas & Frenemies had some serious competition. That cardboard as the toy is quite a futuristic concept to save the planet.
Fun fact: A couple of weeks ago I bought a box of mixed Thomas trains which contained an early engineers Spencer tender, not the train but just the tender. I didn't even know Early engineers Spencer existed
I actually had the Rheneas and the Dinosaur story pack when i was younger. Ironically it was the only TWR set i had as I had an imaginarium set growing up. I unfortunately gave it away to my cousin when i wasn't into thomas for a while.
2:37 It appears there was a glitch in the TH-cam matrix... By the way, if you can't really understand what I'm saying, turn on closed captions. They are generated by TH-cam, but they are quite accurate.
Seeing the updated engine shed made my mind go ka-boom. Makes me wish I lived in Australia. An obscure item I have is the Maron cargo and freight box car from the crossing gate figure 8 set from 2011. Another is the "Pirate's" Cove set, which was a 2011 simplified version of the "Pirates" Cove set, in which they took out the skull tunnel which was the best part in my opinion. The most rare obscure item I have is an old style Stepney model I got with the current style Thomas in a dvd pack with Mud Glorious Mud in 2008 at my local Sam's Club. The interesting part about it is that its wheels read 2003, so I assume they used wheels from the 2003- version, but it's odd why they had an old style Stepney lying around with no wheels, so they had to stick on some new ones. I also once jumped on an eBay auction for the display table/yearbook picture sights and sounds set, featuring the exclusive Sodor signal station #9, but was of course, outbid.
So I randomly found this video and decided to just watch it because I remember playing with all this stuff, and I remember having all of this except the very last one and the stuff with the Reneas? guy. Kinda cool to see the stuff I used to play with and most likely still have tucked away in a closet somewhere is worth some money lol
As far as I know, the engineers sling bridge isn’t Euro exclusive, as I have seen/owned various parts of it in Australia from ‘family’ collections, (People who don’t collect Thomas).
I have the stacking riser from the 2008 coal hopper set and then one with a gray base and red railings, also the Australia version of the single stone tunnel. I have no idea how I have it since I live in America but whatever 🤷♂️
Fun fact: the reason why the knapford Station set doesn't include knapford Station is because they referred to the covered bridge as the Station by accident
10:43 No I honestly thought you were talking about Bart the only Thomas one railway item to only have 2 pictures of it I was not expecting for a set that involves Henry and renssa
The Green Sodor Bay Bridge, I couldn't find any images of. As for the Grain Loader, I didn't even think about that. There are a lot of traction rail variants of items that were only sold for a while.
I have one of those bags seen at 6:30 I use it to store my Bachmann locos, I only have a few though. Maybe mine is a little different, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same design. Don’t know where it came from, as it was always at my Grandpas house until he past away years ago and it’s now mine. If anyone knows more about this specific bag please let me know! I also may have an original 2005 run Special Engine Shed, but mines pretty beat up. Found at a thrift store years ago, and the serial number is worn off, as well as most of the paint/decals. I think it may be an original 05’ run as the track on the inside has no sleeper pattern, it’s just wood. Maybe this means it’s fake? Maybe it’s just a later model? I’m not sure.
Another rare item is the island of sodor felt playmat, lc05770/99770, we literally have no physical evidence that it exists, even though it was made from 1993 to 1996, and in the yearbooks
You know a few I think 2 years back me and an old friend of mine went to a model's screen model train show and one of the things I got there were 2 occur void up pieces although I've misplaced them but on the upside I also got to flip face James and metallic arry so
UPDATE:
Regarding the Come Ride the Rails track piece, there is also a 2008 track piece that was recently revealed by FlyingDuckNWR8 on Twitter.
I’m pretty sure I have some of those, I’ll check and get back to you
Yep, I have the 2008 tracks, just wondering if there rare
@@oscarthepurplek2152 They're pretty rare to me, since I have never seen them anywhere else until now.

Hey, it's that youtube guy
MY CHILDHOOD
Hey Leo, you actually have the arched viaduct. It was in the Thomas box you looked at years ago. I remember watching that video when I was younger.
Great Job Andrew! Awesome Video! I love the fast pacing of the visuals and the edits are great!
Thank you for watching. I drew some inspiration from how you edit your videos to make my own.
Nice video D!!!
That video know which one is rare
WTH ARE U MAN MAKE A NEW VIDEO i miss ur content
Fun fact: A couple of weeks ago I bought a box of mixed Thomas trains which contained an early engineers Spencer tender, not the train but just the tender. I didn't even know Early engineers Spencer existed
Another fun fact: an Early Engineers Emily was supposed to be made in 2010 but was canceled.
I actually had the Rheneas and the Dinosaur story pack when i was younger. Ironically it was the only TWR set i had as I had an imaginarium set growing up. I unfortunately gave it away to my cousin when i wasn't into thomas for a while.

I just found my old Thomas wooden sets. The curved aqueduct was available as a standalone in the 2002 catalog
It was indeed.
This was honestly such a great video. I was actually kept interested for the entire time as well. Keep it up and you’ll go far
Thank you for the words.

Those are some pretty good options.

I have a 2007 day out with Thomas track piece, I didn’t know what it was but I just got it in a random Thomas lot. I guess it’s rare cool!
If you can show me a picture/video of it, that would be great.
I’ll make a review on it on my Thomas channel @TheScottishTwits
I'll be there to watch it for sure.
I’ve made the video th-cam.com/video/ODP4Zgp37jo/w-d-xo.html
I actually happen to own one of those travel bags. Didn’t know they were actually obscure!
I’ve got EE hiro and Victor, almost bought the traction rail muffle mountain set, also got the orange risers from the transfer yard set (nib)
That's cool.
Nice video mate. I just acquired the TR Muffle set from Japan and just saw that it landed in Sydney today so will be here within the next 3 or 4 days!
Woah! Awesome top 10 I had no idea a lot of these existed
Knowing that the special engine shed was rare is mindblowing to me.
I thought it was sold everywhere...
I've got like, three of those.
The Special Engine Shed is found everywhere, but the one with the updated red graphics is a little harder to find.
The only wooden railway toy I ever owned was Neil 🤷♂️
As far as I know, the engineers sling bridge isn’t Euro exclusive, as I have seen/owned various parts of it in Australia from ‘family’ collections, (People who don’t collect Thomas).
When I was much younger, I used to only useful Engine shed.
Great Video, we did notice you forgot to include the 2008 come ride the rails track piece
I didn't know there was a 2008 track piece. Have you seen it before?
*I have seen it on Twitter. It's really cool stuff.*
I have the stacking riser from the 2008 coal hopper set and then one with a gray base and red railings, also the Australia version of the single stone tunnel. I have no idea how I have it since I live in America but whatever 🤷♂️
I actually had the gold bumpy track. Sold it on marketplace years ago.
Interesting. Do you know if you had the rest of the set at the time?
6:30 I had that bag when I was a kid.
Fun fact: the reason why the knapford Station set doesn't include knapford Station is because they referred to the covered bridge as the Station by accident
That's a good explanation.
10:43 No I honestly thought you were talking about Bart the only Thomas one railway item to only have 2 pictures of it I was not expecting for a set that involves Henry and renssa
I used to the travel bag but it got thrown out many MANY years ago, if only I know it was rare
Oh dear. Hopefully you can find another one some day.
Well, I still have all my childhood trains, but there all busted and painted so I’m starting a new collection, wish me luck!
What about the Traction Rail variants of the Green Sodor Bay Bridge and the Grain Loader?
The Green Sodor Bay Bridge, I couldn't find any images of. As for the Grain Loader, I didn't even think about that. There are a lot of traction rail variants of items that were only sold for a while.
Some stacking risers are rare and expensive😮
I have one of those bags seen at 6:30

i have the special engine shed its a bit beaten up tho
That's great!
When you call a crossing a switch
I tend to get those terms confused sometimes.
I own the entire muffle mountain set! I just found it in my box!
Lemme add on, sorry! I also have the Dinosaur pack!
I have a special engine shed although it's not in the best condition
At least you still have one, and that's cool.
@@Andrew_I_Exist I believe it's one of the older ones though not the reprinted 1 with the updated details

I had the Muffle Mountain set
omg I had the yellow stacking riser and it was the only one I had!!
That's very interesting!
I have the special engines shed, it came with a scared Thomas and the jet engine
Interesting. Was that a gift pack you got?
The Thomas and the jet engine pack
I feel like when people collect so many of the same engine and keep them in the box it’s kinda selfish in a way cos it makes that item harder to find
They do because they want *the money.*
450th Subscriber!
Braille Tracks?
The TH-cam captions thought I said Braille Tracks, but I didn't.
I have the special engine shed two to be exact
That's great. They're very nice destinations to have.
