I saw Rosie in Hayward, Ca at the Russel City Blues Fest. I never listened to Zydecco, but fell in love with Rosie that day. I just turned 60, but to tell you she crosses generations, my nephew is 36 and loves her like I do. We have been listening to her for probably close to ten years now. Matter of fact we know every one of these songs. Thank you so much Rosie for sharing Louisianna with us. Rosie is not only an awesome musician/performer but an awesome person. Sweet as she can be and down to earth. Her band is killer, if you listen to this entire show you will here some of the most infectious grooves laid on bass. Big boy at 17:04 is a BEAST! Bass is my favorite instrument and I know great players when I hear them. I also saw him with a few other bands down here in Florida where I live and he should be playing with friggin' Beyonce or some superstar on that level for real!
