Mos Def. I used to do MMA like 3-4 hours training 4 times a week. Warm up was basically CROSSFIT. Then Stiking/Wrestling, then Jiu Jitsu, then Sparring. Bruh. Took some adjusting, but is INDEED a lifestyle. Don't currently train now, but if I did, I'd probably have a heart attack, ha.
I've veen training Jiu Jitsu in MMA gyms for about 10 years now. Josh, u cannot get any more accurate than this assessment. U nailed it right on the head. Your comedy is so funny. Ur legit and just appreciate listening to ur videos in the mornings and laughing my ass off. With all the crazyness and uncertainty in the world at this current time.. Your comedy really makes it all dissapear!! Josh Pray... I SALUTE you Sir. Thank you!
10 yrs as an ammy. MMA fighter with 58 fights and 11 yrs boxing, (never boxed in the ring) 19 yrs in martial arts, and 6.5 yrs in the marines with 6 yrs in the marine corps martial arts program. got to start early to get to the top.
Truth. That disappointment every guy has the first day and they get paired with the petite girl. I love it when they tell me they're afraid they're going to hurt me. Worry about you dude.
My buddy has a some degree Black belt in Brazilian Jujitsu & is always trying to get to try “rolling”. Buddy you can drive me home from that dojo after we go snowboarding, lol.
So true! 😂 First time I went, part of the workout was to lift the practice bags over our shoulders and run around the gym. I’m a 120 Ib, 5’2 girl and that bag was about the size of me. I could barely lift it
I currently train it for the time being but I'll be going back to college for wrestling I plan on trying to find a nearby MMA gym and hopefully actually compete Idk what your plans are but it may take a year or so of training before that gym will allow you to have a amateur fight
I did judo and bjj for a semester in college. I was always sore from both but judo felt so much worse. bjj seemed like chess and i loved it. Tried it again after college. Way too outa shape for that life now lol.
Unless the sandbags have shifted and it's like punching cement, I NEVER use anything. Bare knuckle. When I first started MMA, I was always tweaking my wrist, but after a month or so, never hurt or tweaked wrist/hand. and that was 7 years ago. Course, that's just me.
💀☠💀☠💀☠💀☠ 🙏 thank you for this, combat sports is life. Dead ass on warm ups it's most people's whole weekly work out

MMA is fun. Loved competing in that. Worth all the broken bones, sprains, and bruises in my opinion.

Yes, punching a weight bag without your wrists being wrapped is NOT a good idea.
