Just got two Mariner D8s for travel on a boat. One needed a minor repair out of the box with a brake cable that was kinked, which was disappointing but not a big deal. Takes a little practice getting the handlebars at the right angle for ideal folding. Seems like a fun little bike, look forward to using it more.

I can’t seem to fold mine without the handle bars getting in the way. So I can’t get the magnets to engage

I've been riding this bike for about a month th-cam.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.

Hello, I ordered a Dahon Vybe D7 and there are no assembly instructions. The bike won’t unfold. The magnets look twisted. Please can someone contact me. I have photos to show this. Thank you

I found than my dahon sits far too vertical, this was easily cured by cutting 15mm from the bottom of the stand and refitting the pull of plastic cover, very easy to do as the standard stand height will allow the wind to blow the bike over too easily since the bike is very light weight

How do you fold the pedals? I just bought this, but they do not seem to collapse.

Push the pedals inward towards the frame (they're spring-loaded), then fold up or down.

I have the d8 Mariner and it is the worst folding mechanism. You have to fiddle with the handle , the locking mechanism, the pedals What should be seconds finally is slways 3 or more minutes Really bad folding implementation.

I have had the Mariner D8 for 2 years and the folding is as easy and quick as in the video. Never had an issue once I knew what was required.
      1. Have the kickstand out.
      2. Put the seat post down.
      3. Release handlebar lock, and rotate the handlebar forward until the brake levers are pointing down (or almost), lock handlebar.
      4. Fold the handlebar stem as in video. Notice the red dot, this is important.
      5. Fold the frame as in video. Have the left pedal positioned horizontally forward (or slightly down), as it may get in the way when folding. Also, as you are folding the frame, make sure the the handlebar stem is close to the front wheel (this is important too) while bringing the wheels together and then the magnets should just latch with no force whatsoever.
      6. Fold the pedals. Squeeze the pedal and fold. It has a heavy spring for safety reasons, so it may take a bit of muscle. Experiment.
