I went from watching YT every few days, to watching it daily since Dmitri started posting again. Hope Dmitri is really enjoying his return to YT as much as we all enjoy his new videos. Thanks for the years of videos and tingles!
As an instructor of historical fencing, I find that these videos aid in recovery and healing. If I'm ever overly fatigued or injured during class or tournament, listening to this channel as I'm falling asleep leaves me feeling much better in the morning.
Dimitri, Your best videos are Quiet WHISPERED STORIES & WHISPERED GUIDED MEDITATION - (suggestions for you) like floating on a raft down a gentle stream, hiking, coral reef diving, nature & wildlife! As a LMT (licensed massage therapist) myself working with Thousands of people from all around the world for over 20years... That is what most people request!
A 15 minute video just for a test is incredible. Audio wise it's great, however I personally find the on board processing pretty obvious, like when you stop talking and the mic mutes or lowers the volume of the mic, which sounds stuttery at times. I'm not entirely sure if it's just me though :)
Sounds amazing! The totally silent background is really soothing. Though I do need to say with all the high quality asmr videos out there today, I kinda miss the more roomy, natural sounding videos sometimes.

I think bcs of the noise gate the mouth sounds are "popping in" extra hard…some ppl might like it but once I noticed it i cant unhear it anymore. Besides that the audio sounds good

Feedback from an audio engineer: Listening with my studio headphones, I noticed that each time you spoke the audio would almost clip out the background. It is not easy to notice, which is a good sign! It clips with each word from what I’m hearing. Check your settings and make sure that there isn’t a compression or limiter issue. Hope this helps and so good to have you back, Dmitri!
I like the sound! I think having a noise gate is a great idea. I would raise the noise gate threshold a little more to avoid the choppiness effect, it should be perfect afterwards!

Not to tell you how to live your life Dmitri, but I think the goatee/beard was a good look for you. From a visual standpoint it gave your face more definable detail since you have a bare scalp. Just wanted to stop in and let you know.
Nice! Recording artist here...I've found that when I'm recording, sometimes there's something with a low/bass frequency that cuts through (a plane overhead, loud truck, etc.). My studio is rather quiet, but there's always something. My most effective fix has been to cut that frequency on the EQ if possible, at least for that moment. So if you're not recording something that's not very bass-y, you could cut the low frequencies. Or if there's music in the background that you don't want, perhaps cutting some of the mids would help. Just some thoughts...you may do all this already. :)

Besides the obvious choppiness from a sound gate or w/e its perfect hah, i wonder if you could add a slight fade in and out to the gate to minimize choppy feel..hm

i hate the rodecaster. i work with music recording /live sound/podcasts, and i use the rodecaster at one studio for podcasts. its very limiting. there is no EQ, the effects suck, the gate sounds like shit/noway to adjust it. only one set of outputs besides the headphone outs/no flexibility with routing. so many better options in my opinion.
@@MassageASMR in my opinion I think their preamps are kind of noisy. Not super clean or amazing sounding. What's your budget? there's a lot of really good options for preamps out there.
How are y'all not hearing the birds? I found them, along with the cars and airplanes very distracting tbh, in this one and the last. I much prefer the complete silence of some of your older videos where the background was completely dark and there was no background noise. Just some friendly feedback - glad to have you back!
you are correct, i have disabled it. I have fixed the binaural effect. There is still one more thing to fix. Its alot better now, the rodecaster 2 takes bit of time
Yeah it's weird it's almost like not everyone in the world is in the same timezone or like... some people have to work? crazy! In all seriousness this was only for a few minutes and he generally gets over 1k in stream at once

I have to say it's not my favourite. It's working atm. But I can not see myself using for normal recording. I am look at Camden ec2 preamp
Yea ur other setup is prime time. Rodecaster is like throwin a kids toy in the mix unfortunately. I like their mics for sure
