I have 2 Dells (E7250 and E7450) with this issue. Adapters are Dell OEM and they work fine with other laptops. Found an old Dell PRO3X E-docking station in garage and both laptops charge, BIOS indicates correct wattage, and faster performance. This E-dock works with all Dell E-series laptops up to E7470 and is cheap online. Note: The dock requires a 90W adapter to operate (also cheap online).
This Is so helpful... I just did mine today 0n dell e7480 and its now working fine 🙂... my thoughts was intersil IC but after replacing the PowerDiode.. adapter is recognised and battery is Charging

Hey. I have same issue, bought a new battery for dell inspiron m2800, but the issue is not charging and also AC unknown in the bios... i tried the cable on a different laptop which works fine. if the issue same as yours, how where am I going to find that bit to replace it?
@@thakurmanish7133 hey. bought a new charger, that was the problem for me. the voltage didn't meet the requirement hence a new charger with correct voltage fixed my issue.

When you have the charger plugged in, did the charging indicator light change colors, or have a sequence of flashing lights? PD1 is cooked!!

What's the part number
It should be DA204U
Do you have a Part Number for the PD1 Transistor?
PDx is DIODE
I have a dell e7470
With adapter wattage warning
Plugged in but not increasing and the charging led switches off when plugged in
Same case, not solved
ING QUE DIODO VA HAY O QUE TRASITOR
