That's really cool and helpful! Thank you so much! I have a question about oy, ow, ore, ere, ure, are, ire. Do you have a lesson on them? And how do you teach open sounds?
Many of the sounds you mentioned: oy, ow, are "alternative spellings" of oi and ou... I think this will be my next long video.... keep checking for updates
if u have ever watched alpha blocks they have used "ue" as two sound one "u" and one as "oo" please have a look and tell me what is right and what is not?
English can often be very confusing and there are many alternative spellings for many of the sounds so I imagine the BBC would not get it wrong but probably presented a different alternative spelling for the sounds.
The word 'due' is the same as the Jolly phonics sound that is pronounced /you/ - as in the word 'Tuesday '. It has a /y/ sound in it. The word 'true' uses /ue/ as a long /oo/. They are slightly different, and a little confusing I know.
@@JayRichardsonEACschool so there how can j differentiate? Is there is a rule or something True- clue - flew - blue Can we say when there is two constants before it the its pronounced as oo ??
As far as I know there is no rule. This does not mean there is no rule I just do not know about it. The long /oo/ sound is most common. However in a case like this which happens quite a lot in English I generally just create lots of examples and ask the kids to practice listening to the difference not memorizing spelling rules.

Great.
Can you please tell me the difference of sounds in Due / true
Why true pronunced as oo not u ?

The word 'true' uses /ue/ as a long /oo/.
