My ancestor on my dads moms side was a Hessian mercenary and fought with the British during the revolution. Stayed here after the war was over. He very likely fought at Trenton based on research we’ve done about him.

I have to disagree I think it is awsome that parents bring there children so they can learn about history, yes I know little kids scream sometimes but it is good for them to learn about history.

So, if you want to command mounted cavalry squadrinin the US, you'd do welt live in Massachusettsand have a distinct resemblance to Old George!

Lexington had-and still has a company left over from the Centennial celebrations 1876, the "Putnam Phalax"Neatly turned out in the blue and buff of Washington and his staff. The Delaware National Guard used to send a companion the light blue uniform of Hazlett's delaware Regimentandthe VBoston Shriners sent an "Arab Band"in red trousers and bright red and green uniforms with their distinctive fezzesandenormous bristling mustaches. The drum major led his "battery of drums"with a huge scimitar!
