I have no memory of being more grateful to anyone for posting something to TH-cam than I am here. Two of my all-time heroes, actually playing together - and I didn't even know they knew each other. Thank you so much - you've made my day!
The first vinyl record I bought was a 45 rpm of Chris Barber. One side was a title by the name of Petite Fleur. The flip side was Birthday something.I think I still have it in my collection.
Happy Birthday, my Dear Chris ! It's plaisant to see (and hear you) on TH-cam. Pat and you are my Music Life from 1957 -we see us the first Time in Basel, January 1961 and after each Year in Swiss between 1961 to November 2011 with Jackie on Bass. Best wishe from France. Thank's for all. JO LUTTRINGER "le petit détective". (Thank you very much, Rick Walker, for this video. Jo (banjo, trombone, tuba...and lead guitar.
As a Blues purrist I was very impressed with High Laurie's two Blues albums. His arrangements with suburb guests musicians at its best. Unfortunate didn't get a lot of publicity and/or air play.
As a trombone player I have no freakin' clue how he played that low note at the end. Props! Honestly it looks like a fake Eb you usually need a trigger for. Nicely done holy cow way to make it happen amazing, thumbs wow covfefe and nice shirt I watched all of House
Just another little thing about Chris Barber. He sponsored several top British Cyclo Cross riders in the sixties and seventies, including my then hero Kieth Mernickle from Kingston. A propper champ. Funny to think the punk bands, who played at Chris's '100' club, made there contrabution to British cycling!

A great musician if ever there was one. A living legend.
Godspeed great human ! Thank you 🙏🏽
Possibly my first introduction to jazz trombone was hearing my dad's Chris Barber records. Thanks for sparking something, Mr Barber!
I live in Brazil and have watched almost every video of Chris Barber, Bob Haven, Wycliff Gordon and I follow Gunhild Carling. I love jazz and blues

Two of my favorites.
Hugh, as a looong time trombone player, I knew you were my kind of guy when Wooster played trombone, holding every note to the bitter end. Loved it!

Chris Barber must be about 86 years of age now. Is he still playing?
Not any more, he went to a better stage
What's the name of the song at 2:59 ?
In Berlin I think we loved Jazz&the Blues more than in the USA but again that was when I was a teen & I didn't take a survey
You're wrong, honey.
