    Hi Ludmila, I agree the better finish is with "Gloss UV Clear", I've been using that for most of my works for about twelve months. I use a toothpick to spread the UV Clear over the pieces.....

      Not at all ,,!! I just can't stand people that go on TH-cam, and give a thumbs down, for such brilliant and beautiful work,, they must have no idea at all on art, I myself have always loved art, and crafts, but would never be rude to anyone who is gifted as yourself ,, I know that everyone is in titled, to there opinion, but if they don't like art then the should say nothing rather than a thumbs down,, anyway have a great day and take care,x🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌠💖

    Ludmila, what a beautiful project! Thank you for sharing it with us. I'm beginning to think you are WAY TOO TALENTED to be just one person. Honestly, I am so impressed with your work and am grateful you let us see how you make all your wonderful jewelry. Oh Lucy another wonderful video! Both methods make pretty stones but can you bake the stones with the resin on already?

    • @SweetyBijouPro
      @SweetyBijouPro  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, dear Kathy! Actually, yes! I read about UV Magic gloss, and yes you can!!
      Here is official answer! : "Q - Is it temperature sensitive?
      I wouldn't be concerned about general temperature sensitivity for Magic Glos. This product will withstand heat of several hundred degrees Fahrenheit. It can even be baked with clay. Extreme temperatures such as these will slightly darken the glos. This can intensify colored clays, foils and transfers, but white will become more of a sepia or antique white tone when baked. We have not seen visible yellowing under normal indoor conditions over time, This isn't to say that the material won't darken in years to come or when used outdoors. The product is just under two years old and we are awaiting long term results with it."
      About baking epoxy resin, I read that you can bake it too.. but I will make some pre-testing for one of my next tutorials! For resin and magic gloss!
      Kisses and hugs!!

      @47harleybabe 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tonibagala thank you, I did realize that but my question was can they be baked again after the resin is on and cured. If you have cabochon you usually bake them again when you incorporate them into a finished jewelry piece. Lucy answered me and it looks like they can be rebaked.

    There is a website - rocktumbler.com - that sells many semi-precious stones, in natural shapes (rock shapes) with some good photos, descriptions of stones, and several sizes, many good for jewelry. Or you can buy an assortment of stones for not very much money. I have bought from them with success, and I often go there for reference. You can buy both polished and unpolished stones, giving you the option for using them directly in your projects or spending the time to tumble them yourself. After one of my kids getting a rock tumbler one year, and hearing the constant noise from days of constant tumbling, I now buy the polished ones. Even hidden in a far cupboard in another room, it was still too loud. They're quieter now (supposedly) but still too noisy for me. The polished assortment of stones gave me a large number of options for both clay and wire wrapping *beginner* projects.

      I'm glad Kalyama had a solution, and you may even find some in your area. I bought the stones for examples of them, and also to use with polymer clay as a setting and for wire wrapping. The polished ones are ready to use. You can also drill holes in them with a diamond bit, but I've never tried it. Too much work!
