Man. I would’ve stressed so hard! What a nightmare. Glad you made it out alright. Got my bike on order. Can’t wait! Still wondering about the high fender option. Here in WA, it’s more sand and gravel than anything.
I ride alone a lot. I do think a lot about what could happen to me, especially as I cross the imaginary line where cell reception ends. But if I had to organize someone to ride with all the time I would be riding a heck of a lot less, and I wouldn't always be riding where and how I want to ride. Also I like the solitude. Touch wood I haven't had any significant issues yet, but I do go as prepared as I can (wear all the gear, take a Satellite device, "try to" make wise decisions on when to turn around, bring enough snacks/water for a long walk out...). A calculated risk that is true of any solo adventure.
20 years ago I went for a ride by myself in the hills east of perth after a few hours i found some nice tracks with a couple of decent jumps and decided to have some fun . anyway i messed up and come off broke my collar bone in a couple of spots and then had to ride home . the hardest part was getting the bike up and straight enough to ride but trying to ride rough trails one handed was fun . i should have waited another day to ride with my mates but hey you get that.
ya mad bastard, it sucks being by yourself at times like that, but you made it so nice adventuring!
On ya for trying with stock tires!
Wow, stock tyres & big balls. Great Aussie combination 🤙
Sounds like a great learning session
Every day is a good day - Some days are just better!
The scratches will buff out mate, good polish and elbow grease. Love the Mt450 she's something else. 💯👍🇦🇺
Good work mate, I'm worried about encountering that kinda terrain with mine! haha I have a WR250R for that stuff!
