I bought the exact same 2 colors from 21B. Burgundy classic flap but medium lamb skin. Dark grey but Chanel 19. Like you, I’ve been waiting for the perfect dark red. And I completely agree that the dark grey is good alternative to black. Good to see someone has same thought process as me. Because on you tube, everyone has been wanting the light grey classic and black Chanel 19.
Hi Stella! I love this color too. They just released it again in 2024 in Lambskin with rose hardware. I saw it at the boutique and it is so beautiful but the new price is waaaay to much! So I’ll keep looking in the preloved market at a more affordable price. I hope you still have this in your collection and enjoying it😘

I am on the verge of buying my first Chanel and of course black is what I am considering but I am not a black handbag type of gal…I am more of a colorful person and after 5 years of carrying a Speedy B Mono I really want a pop….grey is a fabulous alternative still neutral yet not…living in Florida I could do white but I live in jeans and it rains so much here it would end up a tyedyed blue lol. This however….stunning!
I have the M/L with gold hardware too and also had a jumbo double flap with gold but sold the jumbo as it was too heavy and the gold made it too dressy. I really missed the jumbo size so I hunted the preloved market for a single flap jumbo with silver hardware in excellent condition. It took me 2 yrs to find one and I love the single flap as it is so much lighter!!! I was really lucky it looks brand new and I got it for an excellent price. I just read two articles that said big bags are coming back!! Plus the single flap lets you tie the chain inside so you can wear crossbody. HIDUPZ

I absolutely love this burgundy shade but it doesn’t look good with my skin tone, the gray one though OMG. I’ve always been more of an Hermès person until the past 2 years and have built quite a collection I must say, I want a classic Chanel Maxi in this gray it’s gorgeous.

I am in Australia and I have never heard anything about Washington, but I’m sure there are some great places to show us! -Just like you did for the fabulous NY! I mean, NATURALLY, you just can’t get better than Manhattan, but show us little secret gems in Washington! I’m actually liking that burgundy Chanel! I never thought I would (because that was the colour of my school uniform!) but I don’t mind it! -One big plus is the caviar leather, I think that the caviar works so much better for me and my lifestyle-so you cannot tell how many scratches I have on it!! Hmm, yes, I bought my Mum the jumbo Chanel classic, (from SAKs in 2012) but now I’m thinking that perhaps it was too big and I’m thinking that I probably should have bought her the medium, as I think it is more stylish and elegant….
