And Hinduism doesn`t discriminate or convert them in the name of religion.
But when it comes to islam you can directly see how non-muslims are treated as animals as per islam and just look at the situation of non muslims in Saudi, Qatar, Oman, Pakistan, Bangladesh, how free other religion are in those places.
That is where the issue is.
People are not comparing here, what people need is the reform from the side of islam which is long being due and hinduism has been evolving with acceptance but the converse is true for muslim. Muslim are becoming more and more regressive and non-acceptance to indigenous faiths.

This aggression is seen today when CAA protesters ask Jinnah wali azadi, maulavi screams Gajava e Hind, they are emperor's of their " ilaka" where they will not pay taxi fare to a poor taxi driver.when they reach home near jama masjid in Delhi.(a recent case). Minorities are protected but the majority is punished and stifled. Hindus are second rate citizens in the country. So what you may have read is inapplicable to Indian society. It is just that for 70 years Hindus continued to be ruled by colonial masters and only now have started clamoring for equality. Even a BJP government with a huge mandate is unable to correct even a single thing. In the name of secularism, apartheid against Hindus is the norm.
