At 36:19 you mentioned that the video is so long and people are going to hate it. You're so wrong about that. I never played Path of Exile 1 and this is the most helpful video I've encountered so far. Thank you so much for your work, this is exactly what I needed. You have a wonderful way of explaining things.
There are many creators that just state what their build is and what it does. Very few go into detail about what does what and this is thee perfect video to show how to grab everything from one lil single div. Bro...u killed it in this one!!! I had a great idea in how to obtain things, but for ur build and this particular one, this vid just made things sooo much easier. Thanks brutha and keep on killin it!!!
Literal step by step guide from empty to full gem sockets and passive points allocation. That’s massive! Every guide I’ve seen so far, assumes everyone knows what to do at any single moment through out leveling the build and when and where to allocate everything at each given point. Well fucking done. You got yourself a sub.
I just wanted to leave a comment to say a huge thank you for this video! As a new player I learnt so much and very much appreciate the longer video explaining everything in detail. My character was only about level 50 (now 70), and it was a complete mess. This video massively helped me transform my character into something half decent! Thanks again!
I don't comment on youtube videos. I don't like them. I'm too lazy to subscribe. I've logged in just to comment and like this one. As others have stated, you mentioned how people will hate the length of this video but man, you have no clue. This was amazing. I have tried to follow build guides like 4-6 times now and every time the end result is lackluster and I don't understand why. This was the first time that I followed the guide, walked into a t15 and went "holy shit it worked". Thankyou for the in depth explanations on everything. Apart from the audio issue(s), this video was absolutely god tier. Thankyou for you time and effort.

Really well done video. The single handed biggest problem players have is not knowing how to sort by exalts on the website, and since GGG hasn't been in office to fix the divine pricing, everyone just assumes everything is 1 div, when in reality, the website is valuing a div at 6 exalts for whatever reason. You can get some insane endgame builds for under 100-200 exalts that make farming so unbelievably easy, to which you can use any gained currency to upgrade it. I read thru your comments a lot for people who have different insights or additions to builds, and I've gotta say, I'm sorry for how much criticism and deflected hate you get for simply making good build videos. I hope you continue to do them of this quality and I look forward to seeing what gets cooked up after the big patch (assuming it ever drops lol).
Thank you so much for this video. The amulet dropped for me weeks ago and I decided to roll a spark mage this week. I cant tell you how big of a help this video is. Now im breezing through 16s after a few upgrades.
You said you actually think people would hate it if the video becomes too long. I actually loved watching this, as a "newbie" stormweaver, because you explain your line of thinking.. very good video !!
Seeing the purchase of all the 'early' endgame items, and how the build operates on a step by step basis, is unbelievably helpful. I had to struggle to understand POE for a loooong time, and your explanations and showcase were top tier. It's the type of handholding that people need when they are getting into POE. Well done!

Top notch vid. Poe 1 bittervet here, started Poe 2 a couple days ago and cruising on a weaver. She's 60 after 2 days in and should be 75 soon. Super instructive, this is similar to how I prioritize my items. I put even more emphasis on mana regen because mana on kill doesn't help vs bosses (unless they have adds). I hope adding spirit on items won't kill the price. I've become addicted to rolling with 150+. And that minions attrib on the jewels is super annoying....
Just a hint for trading. When you look on an item with Energy Shield/Evasion/Armour you see on the item at the bottom an extra line with Energy Shield/Evasion/Armour values. Love this. Just bought my everlasting with my one lucky div and now easily clearing tier 7 with level 60 or worse gear. Have 20 exalts to play with to upgrade some slots tonight
Amazing in depth guide here, ESPECIALLY about the gear. I will give one input, however... The stats listed on some of your items (like the focus for example) on mobalytics are off. In the video, they're spot on.
Thanks for the guide, especially how to set up the search. I'm actually a little sad that I'm actually almost forced to trade to feel any progress. I think there should be more viable crafting options, from level 1 to 100. Not just for the endgame, just viable ways that I can at least get the best items through crafting as well. But, you helped and for that thank you a lot. I just hope that GGG will create a final version of PoE2 where trading is the cherry on top. Not the cherry, the cake and every biscuit.
Hi Nick, I watched your video and it's very well explained. I just didn't understand the part about the passive Mind Over Matter and Edritch Battery. I see that you take damage but first you go to the shield and you still have a shield because of the passive Edritch Battery. Can you explain it to me? I appreciate it. I'm from Brazil. All of this is written by Google Translate xD
Eldritch battery converts all energy shield into mana. We keep some energy shield with Everlasting Gaze. We use Mind Over Matter so that if we lose our energy shield, we still have extra mana acting as life.
Even though some comments had some criticism on ease of accessing the build on the video last time it helped give a great prototype of what to build towards. I’m doing spark sorc right now and the previous videos as well as this have helped a lot give a guideline 👍. Was also wondering about rarity build (what percent you should strive to) as well since most items that are selling on trade with already good base stats creep into divine
@ currently doing your soul offering archmage build from previous video, do you think it’s worth to try to get third spirit passive or gonna be way to expensive because I’ve seen you can get enough spirit for potentially 3 of them including grand spectrum emeralds or against the darkness time lost. Thinking of doing blasphemy with conductivity along with arch/soul offering because cast on shock will probably get nerfed again
This videos is the best build videos I have ever seen, and I’ve been playing a watching you with diablo4 and last epoch, I learned so much about trading and how to use it. If your doing a follow up on how to make stronger like you talk about at the end can u show us the weapon swap and passive tree mechanic with it, I don’t understand that at all
I leveled up a sorc to level 65 with a crossbow. Then I changed my gear according to your guide and went to study how to play a mage. It was easy, although my damage is significantly lower. The survivability of an archer and crossbowman is very low. I really liked playing with a shield over 4k
This got me running T9 maps easy (don't have T10) yet - once getting all your gear make you IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR ARCHMAGE GEM. I didn't realise how much this would impact it (coming from cold sorc) and it gave me around 3-4k dmg increase for a total of about 16k on spark. This is with a 16 lvl Spark Gem and 4000 mana. I spent a little over 1 div though - maybe 150 exalts Thanks Nick, absolute legend
This game really needs an in-game auction house instead of a trading website. That would solve the "no response" problem and the "fake price" problem AND also keep everyone in-game instead of tabbing out to the website. Triple win. Do it, GGG.
It s not fake price people have set up public stash with a fixed price he enter a map, full the inv then he put everything in the stash and return to the map, then he set the price after he finish the session or the map.
One thing not covered in the guide is the ASCENDANCY points! Make sure to set them up the same way as on the Mobalytics link. It took my spark DPS from 13k to 21k just making that one last change (everything else was exactly like explained in video before i changed my ascendancy points around).
Great video. I myself had my storm-weaver equipped for about 1 divine, but although my skill-tree is almost identical, my DPS compared to yours was only 2/3rd of the damage. So I went to buy a new wand. I had a +3 and the new one is a +4. All values are higher compared to the old one, except for one: no cast speed. Turns out my +4 does 100dps less than my +3. Now I am broke but I have learned a lot about how this game works in the process. I don't know what makes the big dps difference, but I suspect, it's Mana. Anywho, it's fine. :D I really enjoy your videos and the style in which you present your content. Keep them coming!
I encountered the same problem, dps is about a quarter less with better items, the problem turned out to be in archmage, the skill level was lower(19 vs 21 in the video) and with 0 quality, quality gives a lot of dps
when do u use cast on shock? you put it on just in bosses or u changing with archmage ? or you take more spirit with the armour?? ty!!! thhis is a very helpfull guide
Yo, Great video thanks! I have a few questions : -Can you explain the weapon skill point, it is very hard to understand - I have 5 jewels slots that I can put on, on my skill tree. Can you tell me how many jewel should I get with the +2%mana gain on kill. I don t know if I need only one or more (and the rest I understand it is with magnitude and cast speed?) -You said we can go for mind over matter and Eldritch battery once we got everlasting gaze, but I getting random one shot so maybe my numbers are too low, could you advise a good number for when to switch ? (For example I'm at 1150 life, 2900 shield and 3600 mana with mind over matter and eldritch) -Same question with Chaos Inoculation. If I take it now (with Mind over mana and eldritch) I will be even more squishy and getting one shot easier with 1 life, 2900 shield and 3600 mana no? Any number you would advise to switch for Chaos Inoculation? Thanks for your guide!
It really costs it at this point of the league, but at the start I remember this ammulet costs around 1 div to 2 divs. Your wand too, it`s not cheap at start. Btw, nice video, congrats for the detailed content.
This video crushed. Really helpful to know what must-have stats belong in which slots, as well as which roll to be prioritizing on each. It's easy to understand that mana and ES = power because of MoM / Archmage / EB etc etc, but it's perhaps more important to understand "I specifically need cast speed on this ring because I want the damage here and the resistance elsewhere, even though resistance on the ring is good if you need it." I find that I keep falling in traps when searching the trade site looking at expensive items with 5-6 mods that synergize with the build or plug some specific resistance hole I have when I'd be better off scrapping the entire build and restarting with ~10ex per slot + uniques and building from the ground up. Like I feel like I can identify why an item is good, but I have no idea of the opportunity cost of affixes it doesn't have. Is that all just a poe2db knowledge check? Or how do you intuitively know "the ES roll is really important on this piece" for example? I was absolutely cracking up when you griefed yourself running out of gold respeccing, and then got griefed even harder when you realized you also need gold for the currency exchange lmao, not to mention the map crash. Just know it was all worth it, this style of video was massively helpful.
Knowing the opportunity cost pretty much just comes with lots of playtime and knowledge of what can roll on each piece. After playing a while it becomes second nature. Thanks for the positive words
The build is functional with 1 div and it runs some maps(you will probably need hours only to buy the gear at those rates, a more relaxed approach would be with 2-3 divs if you want to buy slightly better gear). However, uncapped resistances mean that if mod maps like (-elemental rez% or cursed with -elem. weakness or if you even get hit in a serious manner by a boss or rare with elemental dmg or if any mod like dmg. added/gained as an element or if frozen/stunned and attacked) - the map will be lost, the same with any form of juicing the map with delirium currency or alch the maps or using tablets, the bosses will be tough, especially with uncapped rez(he plays the mechanics well and he knows the pace of the build and what to do in maps and what maps to run to actually complete them, using an alch orb on the map or making the map rare or having delirium on the map will vastly diminish your damage). Also, the next upgrades are not just a bit more, the good/efficient upgrades will, they are way more expensive. The build, however, WILL allow you to farm and to get into stuff, but you have to scale your expectations until you gather more currency and get more lvls(if low lvl). Commendable effort, it would be nice to see a video with the order of the upgrades and what to look for, as a natural progression from this one. Very good job and a lot of effort!
this is the boat i am in. I am level 75 ish, tried to match the items best i could, but my energy shield is 2800, mana 3,300-, dmg says like 14k for spark, and when i go into level 7 map, its so easy to get one shot and I dont even know what killed me. i switched over from another variation of this build, so the whole 1 life thing is new to me and i have no idea whats going on outside of dying...
Hey again. I know this is a huge ask, but is there any chance you'd consider making a flicker strike build? It looks incredibly fun but my attempts to make one end up in the world's flimsiest glass cannon. With how absolutely perfect this guide was for a noob like me to follow, I'd love to see it expanded to alternative builds.
Very nice video, thank you for the detailed guide. Question, does %spell damage and %lightning damage stack on a wand? For example 80% spell + 80% light compared to 150% spell, would the first be better?
Hey @NickTew, amazing video! It's super helpful and packed with valuable knowledge. Thanks for all the effort you put into explaining everything. I’m a bit confused about how Archmage works, though. I have 4.2k mana and 4.7k ES, but my Spark is only hitting 7k DPS. I’m using a level 18 Archmage spirit gem. Could you explain a bit more about how Archmage scales and what I can do to get more DPS out of it? Thanks a lot for the guidance!
Amazing video. Well done. Had more currency and have better gear following your instructions and skill tree. 11K DPS on spark where you have 30K. Seems like this happens every time I follow a guide. I could understand if I had major gaps but so close shouldn't give you 3x the DPS.
Another big thing newer player aren’t doing is adding the right qual. That’s why breach rings are all you should be using. Max qual goes to 50. Max out qual to mana which hopefully you have
You understand that this is early access right? They’re working on fixing all these things but you’re playing a beta. Yes it feels like a pretty complete game right now but this is the time when they’re going to have the most hiccups. The whole point of the early access is to catch all this. You basically pay $30 to test their game for them. An ingenious way for them to make money honestly considering the game will be fully free.
Thanks for the video. I followed the guide as much as i could at lvl 78. I end up with approx. 3k mana and energy shield. But my spark DPS is at 9k. So far off from 27k. My Spark is at lv. 23 with modifiers. Is 1k more mana that big of a difference?
There is a cast on shock setup in the lategame mana build - how does that work when archmage is eating 100% of spirit? It won't work on weapon swap because it wouldnt be active at the time of the shock.
I cant find wand like this for days under 1 div, are we playing on different games? Half of the pieces u got a re 10 times cheaper than what I find daily on trade site oO I am confused
Knowing how to look for items is a skill which I showed you how to emulate. These implications that I'm somehow fabricating the.entirety of the trade site are making my brain cells commit suicide. You can bring a horse to water...
Amazing video! I have 4k ES and 4k mana. I’m only around 16k sheet dps on Spark with the same gems. Any idea what the biggest driver is for why he has 29k?

I’m doing spark sorc right now and the previous videos as well as this have helped a lot give a guideline 👍. Was also wondering about rarity build (what percent you should strive to) as well since most items that are selling on trade with already good base stats creep into divine
Up to a bout 120-150% rarity. Sever diminishing returns past that point
This is exactly what ive been looking for! Now once i actually get a divine ill do this! Level 83 and running maps and no luck so far
Save up exalts! All you need is about 120 or so. He even exchanges the divine for ex.
Bro… you are an absolute legend!
I learned so much thank you!!
I know nothing about trading in POE2, thank you so much for your explanation
Absolutely amazing video 👍
This got me running T9 maps easy (don't have T10) yet - once getting all your gear make you IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR ARCHMAGE GEM. I didn't realise how much this would impact it (coming from cold sorc) and it gave me around 3-4k dmg increase for a total of about 16k on spark. This is with a 16 lvl Spark Gem and 4000 mana. I spent a little over 1 div though - maybe 150 exalts
Thanks Nick, absolute legend
I was missing this and it is huge. Thanks for the reminder.
Nice🎉 i almost quit my socc cuz i was following a guide that use expensive item. Now i can see the light again.
@GoldenDi0 I understand that. What I mean is people simply not responding to sales whispers. I guess they're the same problem.
Best video on sparkmage to date!
I really enjoy your videos and the style in which you present your content. Keep them coming!
I encountered the same problem, dps is about a quarter less with better items, the problem turned out to be in archmage, the skill level was lower(19 vs 21 in the video) and with 0 quality, quality gives a lot of dps
Great concept for a video guide
This is really good content !
when do u use cast on shock? you put it on just in bosses or u changing with archmage ? or you take more spirit with the armour?? ty!!! thhis is a very helpfull guide
Thank you. I was struggling with the endgame mapping and tried several builds, but nothing really worked except yours.
Great vid! Kudos!
Yo,
Great video thanks!
I have a few questions :
-Can you explain the weapon skill point, it is very hard to understand
- I have 5 jewels slots that I can put on, on my skill tree. Can you tell me how many jewel should I get with the +2%mana gain on kill. I don t know if I need only one or more (and the rest I understand it is with magnitude and cast speed?)
-You said we can go for mind over matter and Eldritch battery once we got everlasting gaze, but I getting random one shot so maybe my numbers are too low, could you advise a good number for when to switch ?
(For example I'm at 1150 life, 2900 shield and 3600 mana with mind over matter and eldritch)
-Same question with Chaos Inoculation.
Btw, nice video, congrats for the detailed content.
i just paid 10 ex for amulet yesterday
@@Kevincole87 yesterday is not the start of the league, as I mentioned.
I’m new to sorc how do you still have energy shield if you have Eldridge battery. And I loved how long and in-depth this video was keep it up
Its the everlasting gaze amulet
This video crushed. Really helpful to know what must-have stats belong in which slots, as well as which roll to be prioritizing on each. It's easy to understand that mana and ES = power because of MoM / Archmage / EB etc etc, but it's perhaps more important to understand "I specifically need cast speed on this ring because I want the damage here and the resistance elsewhere, even though resistance on the ring is good if you need it."
I find that I keep falling in traps when searching the trade site looking at expensive items with 5-6 mods that synergize with the build or plug some specific resistance hole I have when I'd be better off scrapping the entire build and restarting with ~10ex per slot + uniques and building from the ground up.
I am level 75 ish, tried to match the items best i could, but my energy shield is 2800, mana 3,300-, dmg says like 14k for spark, and when i go into level 7 map, its so easy to get one shot and I dont even know what killed me. i switched over from another variation of this build, so the whole 1 life thing is new to me and i have no idea whats going on outside of dying...
great video, thank you! How do you apply a stack of armorer's to an armor piece like you did? What's the key combo?
Thanks for the guide! I can't seen to find the exact build you are using on video tho, both on the website are different
Wonderful Video - I have a question - How do you move so fast while casting spark? Is there something that affects that or are my eyes deceiving me?
Tap casting instead of hold
Wild, think this is almost as much dps as mine has with a few divs. Think I need some better jewels.
Really well done guides btw!
Nice video. Do you think it is possible to have a budget build with Spark and Cast on Shock?
It’s hard out here bruh. That 1 exalt generosity will make an exiles day
I actually learned a lot. Thanks man!
The greatest achievement remains to have had so many responses in 1 hour on poe trade
Very nice video, thank you for the detailed guide. Question, does %spell damage and %lightning damage stack on a wand? For example 80% spell + 80% light compared to 150% spell, would the first be better?
correct
finally a budget kitokos build🤩💯💯💯
First, thx for ur Stomweaver support. This helped me alot. One question. U use a Chiming Staff. what specs on it is important? thx :)
คุณทำวิดีโอนี้ขึ้นมาละเอียดมาก ผมชอบมาก ขอบคุณมากครับ / Thank You.
this video really good for new poe2 , mostly youtube is veteran poe1 not want share ...only show off...thanks for video
Another big thing newer player aren’t doing is adding the right qual. That’s why breach rings are all you should be using. Max qual goes to 50. Max out qual to mana which hopefully you have
great video...sorry about the map but think of all your subs youi helped
How is your ES so high? If all ES is converted to mana and 30% of your Mana is added as ES then how is your ES higher than 30% off your max Mana?
Bro im so glad you caught that crash on video. GGG needs to fix their shii
GGG saw how much we loved respec'ing in D4 and decided to keep us happy /s
Thanks for putting this together! Any chance of this build getting nerfed after the upcoming patch?
it will get nerfed, hopefully not too much
what do you think about utilizing sceptre ? instead of foucs?
Thanks for the video. I followed the guide as much as i could at lvl 78. I end up with approx. 3k mana and energy shield. But my spark DPS is at 9k. So far off from 27k. My Spark is at lv. 23 with modifiers. Is 1k more mana that big of a difference?
There is a cast on shock setup in the lategame mana build - how does that work when archmage is eating 100% of spirit? It won't work on weapon swap because it wouldnt be active at the time of the shock.
60 spirit on chest
@@FurialTom Thanks
I cant find wand like this for days under 1 div, are we playing on different games? Half of the pieces u got a re 10 times cheaper than what I find daily on trade site oO I am confused
Knowing how to look for items is a skill which I showed you how to emulate. These implications that I'm somehow fabricating the.entirety of the trade site are making my brain cells commit suicide. You can bring a horse to water...
No matter how skillful you are at searching the market, 1 Div is impossible given the rates in market. Good build tho.
Mf bringing horses to deserts not water 😂
Amazing video! I have 4k ES and 4k mana. I’m only around 16k sheet dps on Spark with the same gems. Any idea what the biggest driver is for why he has 29k?
quality spark and archmage, get more cast speed on rings/wand/focus. these are some easy way to directly improve dps
