I think I know what they did to the glowstone(This includes command blocks). They got armor stands and put glowstone blocks where the head goes, moved the degree of the turn radios of the head to a certain degree to make the glowstone that way, put no gravity on the armor stands so they fly, then turned them invisible. To learn those commands SethBling shows you them

Guys when ash lagged out and he was on the servers list on the bottom, there was a server called SUPRISE
