I can't help it but seeing them and comparing them as X-Men..Jacob- Professor X, Void- Jean Grey/Phoenix, Zealot- Psylocke, Spartan- Cyclops, Ripclaw-Wolverine/ Iceman, Grifter- Gambit, Maul- Warpath..he's more like the hybrid of F4's Thing and Avengers' Giantman/ Antman and Voodoo- Rogue/ Jubilee.
The creators that left Marvel in the 90s to form Image where either X-Men or Spider-Man writers. The departure was dubbed the "X-odus" I believe that's why a lot of the Image Comic Superheroes such as WildCats, Gen13, Youngblood etc had elements of X-Men etc.

Damn I love the origin stories of each character. Really tugs at the heart strings even as an adult.
