The south african judiciary is in trouble... I thought Ratha and Maumela are the worst but it gets worse😢. I think we need to interview all judges and evaluate if they are fit for office. This is greatly concerning.

Question: how can the interviewer be worried about unfinished cases if she herself has some unfinished answers to the SA public. Is her worries not a little hypocritical?

He was just trying his luck and he was quickly found out. I think they must sommer remove him from the bench; he is very useless this one.

It would seem shortlisting wasn't done properly & the panel isn't prepared enough & did not read the documents prior. In other instances it degenerates to. a disciplinary hearing where candidtes must offer apologies for judgements passed . Are there service standards really given so many outstanding judgements? Justice delayed, is justice denied, thus a violation of the constitution. Not yet uhuru!! The beautiful ones aren't born yet!!!

he has been promising to finalise judgements for over a year now and i find it hard to believe any of his utterances, we just witnessed a con artist who wears judicial robes, hence it doesnt come as a surprise that the guy nominated himself and went further to consent to that nomination.
both this man and the JP must be held accountable judges do as they wish. from the smallest thing such as time management they take 45 min instead of 15 min for tea. they come late and leave early. they have no respect of anyone
Hopefully this type of tough interviews will make future candidates come better prepared and do their work.

With all due respect, it is unfair to the candidate who applied for the permanent position as judge. The Chief Justice asked a question to the candidate, " How did you get shortlisted" The Chief Justice by her own admission in this video said that she looked at the nomination of the candidate, but she did not look closely at the nomination, and she completely missed that the candidate actually consented to his own nomination and that it is quite bizarre, to say the least, check timeline in the video( 8:40 to 9:07)This candidate should not have made the shortlist at all and in my opinion, it is quite bizarre, to say the least, that the Chief Justice by her own admission did not look closely at the nomination of the candidate and that she completely missed that the candidate actually consented to his own nomination. Who then is to be blamed for the candidate to be shortlisted and interviewed? This would not have been the most embarrassing interview if the Chief Justice had looked closely at the nomination of the candidate and not completely missed that the candidate actually consented to his own nomination.
