He didn’t leave because of money. He needed or wanted to work more than a few month a year. So, with the writers strike an exact time was not possible. By the time they had a date he already had other commitments. Costner has a life beyond Yellowstone. 😂I thought, will miss him dearly. 😂 it just won’t be the same without him.
That is actually not true Sheridan didn’t have the script written. Further, the deal with Costner would allow his off time to work on Horizon. Taking so long to have the script written and start filming (2years) is ridiculous. Going through a divorce all at the same and quality time with his children. He too still needs a pay check. It maybe why other cast members may not return, they too need pay checks. It’s sad really. Sheridan could have done this so much more professionally and didn’t.
Is it confirmed John will be killed? Or can it be he decided to go off somewhere. I think they were headed somewhere with the cattle at the end of the season. I have to watch again.
I think Yellowstone started out with John as the main character however the others like Beth, Rip and Kasey soon stole the spotlight. Costner made a fatal error when he thought he was top man…. Egoistic attitude pushed him and his character out of the spotlight now he’s playing second fiddle. The season can and will get along well without him.
I'm with syrmatt. Sarah will orchestrate the murder of Beth but since her ultimate goal is to acquire the ranch for the ME group, she'll pull the strings to have John killed too. I can just visualize the scene where Jamie complains to Sarah that the demise of John wasn't what they'd agreed upon and Sarah gives him that nonchalant look of hers and simply says..."Oops"
