This Jewelry Box is designed to pack a lot of storage into a small space. It features five drawers, an upper storage compartment, side compartments, and a hidden drawer. The wood I used is highly figured Walnut and Honduran Mahogany.

This is just about the most beautiful and heartwarming thing I have seen. I just keep imagining how one day your daughter will find the letter and then come over to you for a hug and you wont know what that was for because you forgot. Really man, keep on doing what you do.

Marc, I know that love you have for your daughter. You have done an exceptional job at channeling that in a subtle and sentimental way. What’s so beautiful about this is that the note- in my opinion, steals the show. You allowed your craftsmanship, which is revered by many I am sure, to take second fiddle to the message to your daughter (and you’ve got the fart to prove it!). That’s admirable, and promising to every woodworking Dad out there. This video is unique, something I have never personally seen before in your videos- and I admire it. It’s hard to top, but I am sure you will. Good job Marc.

Wow! This is stunning! I love the attention you pay to small details. For instance, I would not have thought of making the dowels into hourglass shapes, but that really gives an elegant touch to them.
Beautiful. My grandfather was a bit of a craftsman but he died when I was young. My dad was pretty good with his hands too but I never really had the skills. I do however appreciate other people's skills, expertise and craftsmanship and I love watching videos like this, watching all the love, care and attention to detail that goes into making something so beautiful and special. Wow I've seen similar jewelry chests designs but in your tasteful eye you managed to mary different woods in a way that really popsand pleases the eye. When you opened the side panels showing the matching panels with the match of the drawers. It really poped. Nice job with the note pops she will cherish that as much as the jewelry box.

Great timing Marc! I have just been given an order to make a jewellery box but the one I'm making will be a bit larger as I need to make room for 30 large necklaces that will be on hooks, 24 draws for necklaces that need to be laid flat and some more draws with a total of 50 small compartments for earrings etc. I'll be aiming for similar style joinery though so watching you make this has given me some great ideas. Thanks

I know that this video is kind of old, but it is exactly what I needed to see. I have a stash of mahogany and walnut, the latter that my dad cut on a sawmill when I was really little (a really long time ago!). I'd like to make some heirloom boxes for the younger generations out of that stock. Trying to carry on the family traditions. Thanks so much for all that you share with us. I really appreciate it.
