Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about my favorite band: LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs. The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames) Asami on vocals (the one and only voice): She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch): She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd Midori on guitars (crazy shredder): Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete Haruna on drums (little big engine): Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers): Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger): We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

Lovebites has become my favorite band, not just Japan but all time. They are a different element from other Japanese bands, mostly because they play this type of Metal, They have seamlessly combined elements of Heavy Metal, Power Metal with Speed & Thrash influences, then to top it off they use a lot of classical music to create their overall sound. Midori/blond and Miyako/black (a/k/a M&M) are the best dual lead guitars playing today especially LIVE. Insane talent and they are the vanguard of the all female bands in the ultra talented Japanese music scene. This song likely doesn't crack the top 20 from the band so wait and be surprised although you will NEVER be disappointed. Petite musicians who wear their femininity proudly but turn into Metal Goddesses once they hit the stage in heels and gowns. Metal, Rock and Jazz have gone to Japan and have flourished there like nowhere else.
They are phenomenal. Tip of the iceberg, wait till you hear more. They are the solo queens. The Japanese metal/rock scene is the best in the world currently.
This is definitely only scratching the surface. They have much thrashier than this, that will kick your a$$ much harder than this. This is a great song, and for Lovebites, even though I never really use the word mainstream with them, this is closer than many of their songs. Nailed it with the Maiden influence. Since you love this form of metal, jump in head first in that Lovebites rabbit hole. The queens of riffs (IMO) will not disappoint. Nice first reaction.
Just wait till you see their live performances, they are nothing but spectacular,. They will leave you picking up your jaw. Phenomenally talented band. A higher percent of their discography has made it into my band specific playlist than for any other band. Incredible and on point live. Great though this song is, there are quite a few LOVEBITES songs that kick your teeth in even more effectively (it's easy for them to do as when listening you are always smiling) Primarily Power metal, but they can lean pretty damned thrash as well, plus multiple other subgenres. This was quite a tame solo for a LOVEBITES song. You've just discovered the most talented heavy metal band to appear in the last 3 decades. Your comparison with Iron Maiden and Bruce Dickenson is spot on, but as you'll discover, they play a wider range of metal than Iron Maiden ever did. They also play, on average, heavier and faster than Maiden ever did. They're also better looking. You absolutely need to check out their live performance videos to more fully appreciate just how talented this band is. I'm happy that you enjoyed this song (I enjoy it as well), but personally I'd put this song down in the bottom half of their catalogue. That is to say, they have a lot of great songs, including several genuine masterpieces.

Dude, Lovebites does not have a bad song. Having said that, you chose one of their least popular songs to react to. I mean this is a deep dive type of song you listen to when you have heard everything else. Lol. Secondly, always react to them live when possible. There are a few songs that you MIGHT choose the studio version over the live one. But even then, its a toss-up and you Really are only doing so because the video is pretty cool and nothing to do with how it sounds.

Here some information about my favorite band:
LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They also played their first US shows this year in September.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs.

She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

Lovebites has become my favorite band, not just Japan but all time. Midori/blond and Miyako/black (a/k/a M&M) are the best dual lead guitars playing today especially LIVE. Insane talent and they are the vanguard of the all female bands in the ultra talented Japanese music scene. This song likely doesn't crack the top 20 from the band so wait and be surprised although you will NEVER be disappointed. Petite musicians who wear their femininity proudly but turn into Metal Goddesses once they hit the stage in heels and gowns. Metal, Rock and Jazz have gone to Japan and have flourished there like nowhere else.

This is definitely only scratching the surface. They have much thrashier than this, that will kick your a$$ much harder than this. This is a great song, and for Lovebites, even though I never really use the word mainstream with them, this is closer than many of their songs. Nailed it with the Maiden influence. Since you love this form of metal, jump in head first in that Lovebites rabbit hole. The queens of riffs (IMO) will not disappoint. Nice first reaction.

If you try to think or analyze the band's BPM, songs, and music based on traditional concepts of a metal band, I think your understanding of Lovebites will be limited and one-sided.
This heavy metal band continues to evolve.
They don't stick to one genre of metal music.
Sometimes it blends different metal music genres together, and sometimes it blends classical music.
They have a variety of genres of metal music that they think are good, and they have the skills to perform them live.
Sometimes their songs are on the border between metal and hard rock, and if they call it metal music, then to me it is metal music.
LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 11 June 2018, LOVEBITES won '🏆BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites (So Do!)", which gave the band their name.
LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019".
LOVEBITES participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".

On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

Phenomenally talented band. A higher percent of their discography has made it into my band specific playlist than for any other band.
Incredible and on point live. Great though this song is, there are quite a few LOVEBITES songs that kick your teeth in even more effectively (it's easy for them to do as when listening you are always smiling)
Primarily Power metal, but they can lean pretty damned thrash as well, plus multiple other subgenres. This was quite a tame solo for a LOVEBITES song.

They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal,hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. You've just discovered the most talented heavy metal band to appear in the last 3 decades. Your comparison with Iron Maiden and Bruce Dickenson is spot on, but as you'll discover, they play a wider range of metal than Iron Maiden ever did. They also play, on average, heavier and faster than Maiden ever did. They're also better looking. You absolutely need to check out their live performance videos to more fully appreciate just how talented this band is. I'm happy that you enjoyed this song (I enjoy it as well), but personally I'd put this song down in the bottom half of their catalogue. That is to say, they have a lot of great songs, including several genuine masterpieces.

Dude, Lovebites does not have a bad song. Having said that, you chose one of their least popular songs to react to. I mean this is a deep dive type of song you listen to when you have heard everything else. Lol. Secondly, always react to them live when possible. There are a few songs that you MIGHT choose the studio version over the live one. But even then, its a toss-up and you Really are only doing so because the video is pretty cool and nothing to do with how it sounds.
