    I like to tie when I have music on , and Mark Knopflers music is so good you can lost in it and the next thing you know one fly box full . When the brushes came out I thought why would I use that I already make composite loops , then I used one never looked back . Hardly ever tie making a composite loop anymore unless its some type of intruder pattern that I want specific materials in .Nice easy tie with readily available materials that looks really fishy . Good job :-)
    Thanks

    Well tied sir! Awesome looking fly. I must say that I like this camera angle better than from the other side view.

    Very nice fly!
    What are you using to hold the eyes and attach them to the fly?
    I need a couple of those myself!

    Great fly and fantastic song. I tie a very similar one only I use a dubbing loop for the craft fur body. Do you make your own craft fur brushes?

    Great looking fly, I need a couple of these in my arsenal, is this a variation of your mullet pattern ? How do they hold up with some of those toothy critters? Wait I’ll make some up and get back at ya ! , 😃👍🏼. 9/3/20 .

    Cool fly and good music taste! How well would an 8wt throw something that size?

    • @WPE2011
      @WPE2011 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jamie Nichols 8wt would throw it no problem. I'd use full sinking or intermediate line.

      I was jokingly thinking I'd want a 12 weight to cast it. You can cast something bulky with an 8 weight, but if it's windy or tricky fishing it's not ideal.
      In the Northeast for Stripers, if you tied this in a peanut Bunker size or larger I'd go with a 10 weight line or higher.

    gorgeous fly. looks deadly. what would the best rod / line combo be to throw a fly of this size? thanks! great video. going to check out your chan for more

      Anywhere from a class 6 and up I would guess. Line doesn't really matter, but intermediate or sinking is common when using bait flies in saltwater where I live.

    Great fly but we can do with out the religious propaganda music in the background.

      This song is - "Brothers in Arms" - Dire Straits ....Definitely not religious.... though this being another man's video, religious would be his choice if he chose to do so....I can't see how you would be so shortsighted and lack the open-mindedness to allow a man his freedom of choice right?

    • @HenryCarmonaTexasSlayer
      @HenryCarmonaTexasSlayer 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mike ???? What are you talking about? What part of this song even remotely made you think it was "religious"?? Wait, "baptism of fire" right? LOL
      FYI - "Brothers in Arms charted at number one worldwide, spending 10 weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart (between 18 January and 22 March 1986), nine weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 in the United States, and 34 weeks at number one on the Australian Album Chart. The album is the eighth-best-selling album in UK chart history, is certified nine-times platinum in the United States, and is one of the world's best-selling albums, having sold over 30 million copies worldwide."
      ""Brothers in Arms" is a 1985 song by Dire Straits, appearing as the closing track on the album of the same name. It was originally written in 1982, the year of the Falklands War. It was re-released in 2007 as a special edition to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the conflict and raise funds for veterans of it with posttraumatic stress disorder."
      You can hear an EXCELLENT interview about the song by downloading the podcast interview:

      @@HenryCarmonaTexasSlayer Both the music and lyrics of Dire Straits' have always sounded incredibly churchy, that's just my opinion.

    Freedom of choice is also freedom to express my dislike of some ones choice of music, I should have realized you were one of does guys when you tried to catch 22 me , lol, sorry God boy your not smart enough , keep you religious delusions in the privacy of your own home and don't try to shove in every ones faces.
    And as for the original comment I may have been mistaken my apologies to the man who posted the video.
