You made your point. Yes, Man City were an average team back then. But at least we had a good modern stadium, with at least 30k of stadium attendance, and we didn't play dirty on the pitch. We got rid of Joey Barton early because of his shenanigans. Mark Hughes was an average manager but he was always a red to begin with. He did buy Company and Zabaleta for a bargain to be fair. Micah Richards, Nedum Onuoha and Joe Hart were promising talents. Despite Tevez was a diva, he did bring some excitement on and off the pitch. Soon after Mancini arrived, he brought in Yaya Toure, David Silva and Kun Aguero for a decent price. Gareth Barry and James Milner were also decent signings. Money well spent there. Even Arsenal legend, Patrick Vieira played for us for a little bit. Jerome Boateng didn't have the chance to shine at City but he seemed unsettled back then. He would have become a legend like Company had he stayed. Anyways, despite the craziness of the early Sheikh Mansour days, it was never dull to be a city fan.
