One thing to note, which equity research analysts rarely disclose, is the extensive channel networks some of them have. Dan Ives, for instance, leverages a vast network of channels, allowing him to use that information strategically when setting price targets. Their analysis goes beyond reviewing 10-Ks or listening to earnings calls-it’s far more intricate.
Good point, but it’s tough to speculate on that. All I’m saying is that these channel networks aren’t directly tied to the company itself but are connected to the broader industry. At the end of the day, it comes down to making your best judgment.
@ Of course not. I totally agree with your process. However, I also trading during the internet bubble 1998-2001 and PLTR could easily be $250 by 2027 based solely on momentum. We will be dumbfounded by the price but sometimes you have to hold your nose and buy.
@@BrianTeeney-xj6pn Yeah there are many ways to make money in the market. Mine is solely focused on intrinsic valuation, so I will often miss out on such types of scenarios. And I have to be OK with that, which I am! :D

Exactly. The missing components to all this number crunching is retail investors' sentiment, price action, and where the interest is for Institutional investors. PLTR currently seems to have all 3 going their way. That could all change tomorrow.
Always appreciate your hard work and videos. In my opinion, analysts' price targets are a waste of time. They mean nothing. I can pretty much guarantee you and the guys on Palantir Weekly do more work and dive deeper into the numbers/company/marketplace than any analyst at a big bank. It's a sport of sorts. If you're a bear you're on Team Rishi and if you're a bull you're on Team Mariana. At the end of the day, we all love a good horse race. If the numbers go sideways Dan Ives will just say that the Messi of AI sprained his ankle to justify the price action. Do I think Palantir is worth $67 a share? No, but my portfolio is telling me differently.
Haha, I promise to do some excel hotkeys exercises one of these days... Can't go on being a grandpa forever in there. I write at 150WPM at 100% accuracy, learning a few hotkeys shouldn't be too difficult
Whats funny about Rishi is his price target of $11 a share is actually not bearish from a valuation perspective. From a PE multiple using Palantirs TTM EPS of $0.20 Rishi is goving the stock a 55 PE ratio which normally is considered high 😂
if PLTR can be traded like TSLA back in 2020, fare price according to the momentum, EPS & growth, I personally think 75 is a easy target. I tried to discount and calculate the multiples of the valuation, $98 is my price before next earnings.
Marianna and Dan are just increasing their numbers whenever the stock goes up and theyll make the number fit however they want by increasing the multiple on whatever earnings metric they can find to point to. Dans been doing this for years and since it's been a bull market most often then not he gets away with it all the while building up his frequent flyer miles and hotel points saying he's doing ground research. Just take tech companies and say number go up and wait. There, saved wedbush clients some money😂
If we were to make EV/Sales/Growth a mainstream thing. What would be considered a good number in your opinion? Like PEG has a good value company at 1 or below.

$75 is definitely on the cards, but as someone who invests based on intrinsic valuation, I am a lot more conservative :)
