Love Albufeira Old town. Not as cheap as Tenerife but still good value and what you get for your money is always excellent. The Strip is a bit of a dump though.
Fair play wee man for letting us wee folks know about this resort as we can budget our finances to go there what a gem 😃😀
E18.50 for a fajitas!? Thats not cheap nor affordable. Obviously these places cater for northern hemisphere tourists. Hahahahah
I have to say that the prices are pretty comparable to California in that area for the most part. Possibly approaching Lake Tahoe prices. All that food looks pretty darn good though
I’ve been to Albuferia two times and going again this fall. Yes there are tons of good restaurants there is one that really stood out on a side street from Ave de Liberdade with Brazilian food excellent meals reasonable prices. The owner is super fun and very friendly. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your videos.

The Portuguese live for food, their main conversation is all about where and what they are going to eat next. If you think the French are world champs at camping out in Restaurants, forget it the Portuguese are more skilled eat for longer the portions can be 30% larger than most traditional restaurant than France. I am not surprised there are few €9.49 three course deals, it's not something any local would go for. You have to look for places that have set priced 'all you can eat' deals, yet expect to wait between servings, in Portugal there is never ever any hurry over food.

Looks like affordable prices. I was just up in Porto and that's about the same. Great food.
Been watching on and off for a while now kev, and just subscribed. Lovely to see the old town, and those prices are comparable. It's definitely not Tenerife/Benidorm pricing, but looks a lovely place to visit.

Just been here and there's nothing cultural or Portuguese about albufeira - it's Britain abroad pretty much - the food in most places is bland with no flavour. Lagos is much more Portuguese and cultural where you can actually experience culture
Before they concreted the centre bit of old town square I guy from Croatia did a great puppet show with different puppets playing music.

Nice to wander slightly outside the square or off the Strip & away from the beach to eat, prices always lower, same as most places.
Was here 2017 with the Mrs,, lovely square , full of personality ..

Sir Harry's bar...visited in may 2022 we had fish and chips, worse meal of our holiday...frozen grey mushy fish...we left it all, don't bother folks go else where

Hi Kevin, went to book my apartment for next year in Albufeira with Airbnb and I booked, only to get my booking cancelled, because they have not updated next year's prices, ( I thought they should have accepted price shown) anyway I got an email next day with updated price, DOUBLED the price, shocking, so folk beware, prices are shooting up, it's lovely Albufeira, but pricing itself out for me.
Noted...doubled!?
yip hotel I stayed in for £29 is over £100 per night next month ! Hotels seem to be dear in Albufeira esp peak time.

@@ScotsmaninTenerife Yes Kev, it seems we are having to pay for the owners loss of income over the pandemic, but we all suffered didn't we, I've now booked a Benidorm apartment for next year, got a canny deal, just hoping our flights will be OK when we eventually book them. 🙏
Hi Kevin been re looking at here we of to here 10th May,wished hadn't bookd all inclusive but hubby did as work out £100 ech more ,I want try all there restaurant s ,we will have few meals out , looks so nice old town dint think stay for long in New but have wander,thanks so much your vblogs u famous in tenerife now my happy place .

Lots of choice, gets a bit confusing sometimes. Here is one for you.....saw sign said Full English Breakfast and it said Irish Breakfast (no idea what one of those is !?)......so what do you say to the waiter !? I'M SCOTTISH !!!??? LOL.

Hi Kevin, I'm the one who told you about the "secret garden." You had to go upstairs in through the pub behind the Tattoo Club. Kay's saying it maybe closed down becsuse of covid.
It had a big TV screen for the footie and there was a lovely wee girl who used to play the acoustic guitar....

I've been albufiera 4 times and it's a fantastic place. Especially the old town. The food is lovely and I'd definitely recommend it. Great video mate.

chinese resteraunt next to steppes pub 25 euros all you can eat all cooked fresh you can eat everything on the menu if you want all cooked fresh brilliant

Kevin your vlogs are brilliant. Thought about going to Portugal, so your videos have been helpful. Just been ripped off in Amanda's in Tenerife. nearly 50 euros for 2 bottles of white wine, our fault should have read menu better. Their menu is the only one that doesn't show price for full bottle, its actually 3/4 last price. 🤪

The Indian Grill used to be a Chinese think called Bamboo with rooftop area. Food arrived cold and tasted awful.

@@ScotsmaninTenerife I knew what you meant but I just couldn't resist, and yes the prices are reasonable even at 3 Euros try getting a decent pint of lager in Bristol where I live for £2.50.
Only affordable if you can afford it.
Little chance of 1euro pint there.
