The difference on their music is not because of time, it's because they are the most diverse and versatile group in the industry. They do almost ALL kinds of genres from rock, ballad, pop, edm, jazz, rnb etc. So seeing them switch genres is normal in their discography, it is even normal that 1 song has more than 3 genres of music.EXO also does not follow trends. They do not follow the current mainstream.

EXO is one of the biggest And best selling kpop group in kpop history Every album they release so millions and Half a million. 3 Chinese members left the group 2014 and 2015. There are 9 members now in 2023 They released their seventh album exist It's sold 2.3 million copies. Song from the album are cream soda. Let me in. Hear me out. 2 songs do Have kai In the music videos before he went to the military. But you can Here his vocals and cream soda. And yes , they do have successful Sub units And solo careers. Even in acting and modeling. 3 of them owned their own record companies now. But as a group They are still signed under SM entertainment. They will return as a full group in 2025 When The 2 youngest members kai and sehun Return from the military. New album and tour.

Exo was 12 but due to various reasons 3 of the 4 Chinese members left the group, the 4th(his name is Lay) can’t currently promote with the group and is doing solo stuff but is still a member of Exo.
they didnt separated into units but formed different SUB-units WITHIN the group.

Exo are the ones who started a consistent storyline. Their lore Exoverse is really diverse and complex. You're right, they are aliens from Exo planet. I would recommend "The ultimate guide to Exo" by Pastel Kookie and individual guides by Caesar Oh.

Many of EXO's B-sides are cute, but the title songs tend to be sexier and more mature. I recommend you compare Love me right vs Love shot. If you want to see EXO's wide range, I recommend Growl vs Obsession
To be honest in start of a group's career, the center member always gets the most attention of the production as the center member brings the most audience. Mama is their debut song so most focus was on Kai as he was leading the dancing position and on D.O. as he was leading vocal position but throughout each comeback, all members are noticeable. You'll rarely find any cute Exo songs as Exo have always been a bold group from the beginning. However you can give a chance to "Love me right" and "Hear Me Out" as these two are the only tame Exo songs I could think off. Exo have few cute (really rare) b-sides like "Peter Pan", "3.6.5", "Baby" and "Heaven".
A Cute video from EXO I can recommend is *POWER* and for the Sexiest I think *Love Shot* would be at the highest because of the styling.

When it comes to high notes give it to Baekhyun and Chen. Baekhyun is my ult bias in Exo coz of his good vocal, stage presence and smooth dance moves. It's s also his plus point on how he communicates with Eris.

Yess EXO had 12 members: Suho, Kai, Sehun, Lay, Kris, Xiumin, Z.Tao, Luhan, D.O, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Chen.
EXO also had 2 units Chinese and Korean. The Chinese members left Lay, Luhan and Z.Tao.
Also Kris left due to criminal activity in his part. I won't go into detail.
group sub units is: EXO-CBX which is some of the vocal line Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin.
EXO-CS which is part of the rap line Chanyeol and Sehun
In the beginning EXO was supposed have a storyline where each member had super powers and stuff idk if SM is still continuing that theme anymore though.

Everybody is always hating on cream soda when they have never had it. It's about the only soda I like. It's kinda a lighter and sweeter root beer, usually the color of champagne or a light brown and tastes like vanilla. What you see at the end of the video is closer to the Japanese version of cream soda which is actually a float made with melon soda (Melon soda isn't common where I live, but you can sometimes find Ramune which comes in melon) with ice cream. So if you like root beer floats then you would probably like cream soda.

Yeah, EXO doesn't really have any cute concept title tracks or MVs. I think Power is possibly the only one that is kind of cute, and that is more Power Rangers/comic book kinds of cute. They have cute concepts for some of their B-sides and they have some VERY cute live stages, but no MV's sadly. I would definitely suggest checking out all of the MV's in between these 2, because there is a LOT to love about EXO and these 2 tracks, while amazing, don't do them justice. Also, they have had a LOT of member changes over the years with people leaving the group, then people being on hiatus for various reasons, and now enlistment. EXO is 9 members, 1 member has not been able to perform with the group for quite some time, and he has now left the company, but he has never left the group. But you will most often see them as 8 members from 2017 onwards. Kai was singing on the Cream Soda track (and Exist album), but he wasn't able to join the MV due to enlistment.

well as an EXO-L, let's accept the fact that the new kpop fans esp western and even the non Kpopper Koreans know Kpop because BTS is heavily promoted/ pimped. Thus comparison is inevitable. Even tho they're still the weakest talent wise in 3rd gen, their marketing was really good. That's where EXO lacks --- promotions, which is utterly frustrating and I am still blaming SM for this. They deprive the west to know a top notch musicality from Kpop.
We can't say BTS aren't talented musically, however their vocals are nothing compared to Exo. It's inevitable for new fans to compare Exo or any other kpop group to BTS cause BTS and BlackPink indeed are what caught Western market. In Exo's case no one is to blame for their lack of exposure to the high scale of the audience rather than their own company SM. SM is known to diminish their own artists cause they're afraid of their artists having more power over the company.
