Gigan looks amazing, Sh monster arts needs to build confidence with its buyers with their current price points. A few years ago pre-sales were guaranteed sold out. BBTS has all the recent figures available as of this comment.
Pre-sales are always sold out in Japan, that has not changed. US stores stock more these days than before because the product is more readily available by the distributor than it used to be.
I have the Blue Gigan first release, but as much as I enjoy it I want this original Green Gigan 10x more so. So I have to get it but with the holidays coming up it has to wait until the new year, I just hope it doesn't sell out before hand and then have to try to get it after market. So hopefully the new year I have him in my collection. I totally love it. Go Gigan!!! 👍👍👍
These suckers are already going for $140-200 after market, still a few left on Amazon at $120 so I splurged.. as an 80s baby who's local station had "Godzilla on Monster Island" in rotation for the weekly creature feature, this Gigan is a must. Thanks for the great review!
I have had one or two issues with clear plastic joints, but those go back to DC Collectibles and some of their figures unfortunately breaking at the joints. While I’m always careful with the MonsterArts, I’m content to just leave the wings in place. I had NO idea that the buzz saw was supposed to move haha. I’ve never tried it with my figure, but that’s a good thing to know. He is light on accessories, but I don’t mind that because he’s basically my perfect version of Showa Gigan. I’m very happy with this figure. Like yourself, I was actually impressed with how big he was. I had mine opened before NYCC, so seeing him with the 72 Godzilla displayed made me realize how nice and large that Godzilla figure is gonna be as well. Great review!
Ah yes, I take it back, I DID have one clear joint issue with...wait for...a DC Direct figure as well. The huge monster Clayface. Lolz! But that's one in so still good a percentage. I think the buzz saw is so stuck, and that positioning just seems like it doesn't move, but I kept looking at that pic on the box, and I'm like, it has to! Yeah, this figure is well worth it. Huge, feels good, looks fantastic. Most times, accessories are a burden for me, and this one really doesn't need it to justify the price. Thanks, Cap!
Mine's joints came rather loose and I feel like the sail's colors don't match the rest of the body very well imo. But the details are really there and the articulation is on point. Doesn't feel particularly fragile too me. Lack of accessories with the fancy box feels a little unwarranted at this price point. Bit incomplete. Figure itself really is good though. Got mine for $90. I'm reasonably happy.

how biig is the s.h. monsterarts gigan 1972 compair to the hyia godzilla , and the neca godzilla 2003 just asking

Yeah, this figure is well worth it. Huge, feels good, looks fantastic. Most times, accessories are a burden for me, and this one really doesn't need it to justify the price.
