@9:40 the menu jumps from Settings>Network to an Auto select drop-down. How did it get there? No input selection is shown. I need to get my Vulcan to recognize my DST800. Also to look at the NMEA 2000 list. I accidentally returned my inputs to default and can't get it back .back.
Tides and currents display info 1:16:00. Thank you for the detailed video Are you able to widen the time period the the tide amplitude graph (chart) can you shift or expand to look from 24 hrs to a 36 or 48! hour window. Cheers from Vancouver canada
Having purchased B&G Zeus 3s with Halo, depth and wireless wind, I never got it to run in a sense I could trust the data. Sailing itself is a pretty simple thing if I learn the basics of it, which I did. Navigation, I thought would be simple as well using GPS and so on. Now having all the B&G equipment which is not running, I feel like an architect, has to draw a house, first time in AutoCad and 3D. It’s over complicated and I don’t know where people get all the information from to install and setup B&G equipment? If it needs about 20 years to learn, I don’t know if a have that time.
You summed it up in a nutshell. I've used B&G on four months of passages, meaning two watches a day. I assumed that if I installed B&G I would quickly be up to speed. I've had it for at least six months. Today the time was off by two hours, so I wanted to fix this. Two hours. I have no clue. The B&G manual might have it. I got the online PDF and couldn't find it. Doing a Search on the device "Time" and :Zone" both get zero results. I've set the time before but some how whatever path to doing this.... I can't find. Sure I feel stupid and we all know fixed mindset people who'd dump on us, but I've done so many advanced technical things in my life that I know garbage when I see it. I've submitted requests for tech support a few times. NO response. I can't even find out what 'other' components besides the sensors and displays I might need and what functions require them. Almost none of the radar functions I've used many times in the past on other boats, work. I can't track a target (they changed the name for this on the chartplotter. It's in about the same place but clicking on it does nothing so I assumed Target Tracking was missing. Nothing anywhere says if I must have other components other than the Radar/Chartplotter.) The manual is a complete joke. If you wanted to infiltrate a company and subvert its customer relations -- this would be a great way to do it. There are at least three different 'menu' buttons, so poke them and guess. There are screen shots of the menus, but not how to get to that menu or what to do when you're there. All this could've been handled much better with a simple list. B&G/Simrad has a terrible reputation for no customer support, out of date electronics.
Excellent presentation, just reduced the amount of gear I thought I needed! Since all the b&g site manual links are to simrad docs is it safe to say their equivalent kit will behave the same? Also you mixed the hydra with the triton and Zeus, does that mean you can use hydra sail CPU with triton auto pilot and the cheaper wind meter and get decent sail steer or do you need to have both hydra “boxes” Also if you have a full hydra 2000 system can you upgrade the n2000 back bone and only change the display and CPU?
How do you set up a mast rotation sensor in a Zeus 3? I have a B&G RF25 rudder angle sensor that is listed as usable as a mast rotation sensor on the B&G website. The B&G Zeus 3 installation manual says apparent wind can be compensated for using mast rotation and indicates on page 24 a sensor can be configured as a mast rotation sensor but when I try to configure the RF25 it won’t let me designate it as the mast rotation sensor.
Hello, thank you for the video. Maybe you can help me here: I have a sailing boat with 3 B&G W12 screens installed. One of them doesn't get the detailed map (Navionics) as the 2 others get it well. The navionics is installed in one of the master screen slot. Do you have an idea why I can't receive the detailed map on the slave screen. I have checked that all 3 deplays are visible on the network. thank you for your help
great to see the huge lag in the video as you click simple functions. b and g touch screens are difficult and frustrating to use and painfully slooooow! and im on my 3rd one!
I must be watching a different video? Once at the boat; the British guy is doing a terrible job of explaining/demonstrating. Doesn’t say what he is touching, when, and is moving way too fast. Should have someone filming what he is doing as well as info on the screen.
Best break down video of B&G
I agree 💯%

Really good explanations of Zeus functionality. Thanks.
Thanks, this is really good!
Hello, a nice video indeed. I am wondering wether the more race specific webinar is still on the agenda. I would be most interested.

Very precise explanation 😊

What do you do when devices that are connected are showing on the MFD?

Can you link to the other videos in this series about b&g? I can’t find them.

Is the dst810 compatible with the h5000
How can you set that to see your route previously taken?
Good video. The B&G bone connectors are so primitive vs simnet.
How do I remove fuel and oil from dashboard screen
Do a long press on the data box you would like to change, then select the data type you would like to display from the list.
