This is one of the reasons I selfishly want Simone to stick around until Paris so badly. Not only is her difficulty outrageous but her form and technique are TEXTBOOK.
I feel she will not retire but will take a break just like she did after the 2016 Olympics. Plus she still has unfinished business with that Yerchenko double pike vault.
I really think she's coming back. Before Tokyo she was saying she was totally done after Tokyo but she didn't retire after. She has unfinished business
Nothing is textbook when it comes to the soul, and that's her gift. She's living her life and her dreams right now. If she decides to compete again, we support her. If she chooses not to, we support her 💞
That's why I don't get why people complain about her winning or thinking she does it unfairly. She has the difficult AND form on her best events and she's actually worked hard on it. I remember her form not being the best when she first started but she's improved greatly over the years. If she retires, I'll still be happy for her but I'd love to see her come back too. Biles is super clean in the tumbling but I can’t imagine there isn’t anyone with a cleaner routine, her leaps are pretty average, I feel like judges turn a blind eye to the form in dance elements, like you can’t compare for example Biles leaps to Listunova’s, however you’ll see Listunova getting fair deductions on crossed legs on twisting for example, but where are those deductions on Biles leaps or landings? I think until Tokyo 2021, americans overall hadn’t been judged properly
I mean you’re right, Listy has amazing flexibility. But her tumbling technique is definitely pretty rough. Looking at the code there are more deductions for tumbling compared to dance elements deductions
@@Josh-zn3gn Listunova's tumbling technique is definitely not pretty rough. She has a great set and she goes up instead of back. Her form on double saltos is also quite good.
This is why you’re not a judge. What are the deductions in Simone’s leaps? Precision is only 0.1 and she gets more than enough height and hits the split, if she doesn’t make her gogean around it’s always downgraded as seen in her d score. So where are the form issues? Ashton Locklear's handstands though :O
