Monroe breaks my heart every time. He *knows* he's a "monster". He knows, of everything else that happened, it's *him* that's the one that could break someone. And he fears other people fearing him. But how could you?! He just needs all the hugs
Monroe is just perfect, he has the big bad wolf inside him and still he is the sweetest most loving guy ever and whenever he says he is a monsters or people act scared of him it breaks my heart and makes me so angry bc the ONLY times Monroe ever "lost control" and let his instincts get the best of him were when someone tried to hurt or did hurt Rosalee. He is such a sweetheart that he is a protector in his full form, he would die to protect his friends and to think anyone would be scared of him is infuriating, Monroe deserves the world and I bloody love him
Well ... honestly that was shock prevention. Keep in mind it was planned that monroe and rosalie woged. In that order. In the end both did, but monroe went last and did a sort of half woge for a second as he knew it would be simply terrifying. Bud simply did not expect that she took it as good as she did.
Rosalee is smart. Starting out with Monroe might be a bit extreme. A calm build up for what's to come, followed by a fox girl, followed by a beaver man, and then the wolf man at the end.
Rosalee definitely my favorite character throughout the entire series. I mean aside from how adorable she looks when she woges and how scary she can be when she does it in anger xD
Rosalie is adorable and their relationship (her and Monroe) was really well done. It actually felt like a relationship growing and developing instead of the forced way shows often do.

Everytime Rosalee transforms, I have to say "ohw". I think Fuchsbaus are so cute, especially when they wiggle their heads so briefly when they transform. SO CUTE!!!
I really like that the show didn't skip this "reveal" and her reactions. It was priceless! Many other shows tend to skip the reactions and/or cut them really short. I'm still pissed about Daredevil Season 2 where the whole season just ends by him saying "I'm Daredevil". I wanted to see the reactions, the questions, the freakouts! Or in Game of Thrones Season 8 they completely skipped Bran revealing Jon's lineage to his sisters. I LIVE for such reveals and reactions. This single missing scene has ruined the season more than anything else...
You get it where so many producers and writers in 'hollywood' don't. People LIVE To see the reactions of amazing reveals. It's like seeing a great magic trick but never seeing the audience stunned and mesmerized. It's like being in the comedy club of an amazing comedian, but you're the ONLY ONE there. We live to see the freak outs, the amazement, the reactions of other characters to incredible situations. Too bad so many writers forget this simple FACT about viewers and fans.

He always looked wrong to me. I think it was because he was one of if not the first wesson designed in the show. By the time they got to Rosalee they had refined their techniques, and most likely had more in the budget, but just changing him would have been a little too jaring. With him being in every episode it would be more obvious than a character or wesson that only appeared every once in awhile.

If I had to change his design I would’ve made it more wolf like with a longer nose
@@torakunoichi Yeah I always wish they'd gone the route of making minor tweaks with his design from year to year so that by they end he'd more or less look how he was supposed to, but I kinda think they didn't do it primarily because they tend to have alot of callback episodes and they'd already had a lot of episodes that used other Blutbad characters. If it was just him then they might have done it. It never was a huge issue until they brought up other wolf-like Wesen who were said to be related to Blutbaden but looked A LOT more wolf-like.
It really is a testament to just how magnificent the writing and character development of this show really was that they were able to plausibly sell such silly CGI for so many seasons. But man, I loved these characters writing. All of them.

I find it perfect that the "first" wesen Nick actually got to have contact with and interact and be friends with, was Monroe who is the most loving and amazing and caring and friendly person to ever walk the earth, and at the same time is a Blutbad, one of the top 3 ferocious wesen. I think it helped Nick keep an open mind, I mean. His best friend is a blutbad why would he be hostile to any other wesen?!
And then he met Bud who is an eisbieber and would be described as coward and afraid but even though he has his moments, Bud is far from being a Coward. Even knowing Nick was a Grimm he went back to get his tools, fixed his doors, became friends with Nick and even helped him MANY times. Nick was surrounded by the best wesen possible
And Rosalie?! I mean "count your fingers after you shake hands with them" was Monroe's description of a Fuchsbau and Rosalie is the most compassionate, loyal, trustworthy person ever. If any person doubted her Nick and Monroe would probably kill said person without second thoughts, she had saved them countless times and is definitely the type of person you won't have to count your fingers after you shake hands with
I think it's partly because he is a 'next door' kind of guy. Monroe has the knowledge, Rosalee the spice shop, and the connections to the council, and bud is just bud.
These characters are so caring and sweet no matter what they can do or look like, how could anyone be scared . The people that they are inside way outweighs any outer thing. Once you understood they can do this then comes the question, why can't I do that lol 😃
4:49 I don't understand why Monroe's woge for only momentarily and aggressively? Doing that will only cause shock to poor Juliette. And for the other (Rosalee and Bud), they woge for a few seconds and they become calm before changing back to human form which is better.
I think he did it because his woge is a bit more scary looking so he tried to do it quick so she can see it but not have to look at it for so long that she might get too scared but I agree how quick it was plus how his voice sounds does make it seem alot more aggressive

I think Monroe is one of the best characters in any show, but I am very fond of Bud and any episode with him in it was special for the humor he brings and the good heart. Monroe is just the best friend a Grimm or anyone could hope to have on an adventure. I consider him right up there with Sam with Frodo.

"blutbad" means "Blood Bath" which is a noun that refers to a bloody mess or just a scenery with lots of blood and blood puddles etc. And idk about the word "Wesen" being the German word "Wesen" but it means creature.
One of the best scenes on the show. I loved this show. After 6 years of watching this show it’s like they were part of my family,which is why it was so difficult when the show was cancelled. If only they would do a spin off with the kids and Monroe and Rosalee’s kids!

I love this show, I got all six seasons a couple of years ago from a charity shop and from episode 1, I was hooked. The only other shows that I own that have given me this much pleasure binge-watching are True Blood, Rizzoli & Isles and Castle.
One awesome thing they dropped on the show was Nick ability to evolve when facing wesen, when he was blinded he got super hearing, whe he was turned into a zombie, he got that undead form were je gps stronger. Really wished they explored more of that.
I don't understand why they killed off Julliette and make her Eve, there is so much potential for her as a human and how they develop their relationship after knowing his secret. Juliette over Adalind btw
I think the trouble was that they were struggling to find ways for her to participate in the weekly cases that didn't involve making her a redundant research assistant or a damsel in distress
My teenage son & I LUVVED this show... the concept was PURE GENIUS, IMHO, & the writing ranged from great to at least decent; also- some series just end on a weak note, but the series finale here was all I could ever hope for- it was PERFECT as far as I'm concerned! Anyone else...?
I'm not so sure if it would have been a good idea. Supernatural had a far darker tone and only a few supernatural beings were friendly, heck even only a few were neutral. How would they explain that in one place so many friendly beasts aggregate, whereas the rest of the USA is a S-hole full of danger?
Different networks, but some of the Supernatural's cast appeared in some episodes. Mark Pellegrino, Titus Welliver (War) and Sebastian Roché (Balthazar) are some that appeared in both shows.
This was a good show. I can't say I liked how the later seasons went or how they tried to recover it or the anticlimactic ending. I do appreciate the concept of it and the cast as a whole.
first 3 seasons are best, 4th was... ehh... well, a season. And the rest is just "binge watch and be done with it". I did like how the blonde witch and Nick tried to play family tho, one of the better things from later seasons.
Rosalee!! She's a cutie and a hottie in & out of woge! Soft, caring, mindful, & sweet overall. This one is show need reviving, and continuing on with the story, with the grown-up kids in the lead.
I ship Nick and Adalind waaay more than Nick and Juliette. Juliette is seriously the only bad thing about the show, the only mistake they did was not killing her off in the first season.
The look she gave Bud was like she was trying hard to decide whether to laugh out in relief or go over and pet the poor little beaver to help calm him down, cuz lets be honest Eisbibers are probably the most harmless looking Wesen, I mean next to perhaps Indoles and The rabbits.

This is easily my second favorite reveal scene on TV. My first is the scene in Arrow where Oliver reveals his identity to his sister.
I also wanted to see Littlefinger’s reaction to Catelyn’s death. Game of Thrones had so many missed opportunities to humanize the characters.

I find it perfect that the "first" wesen Nick actually got to have contact with and interact and be friends with, was Monroe who is the most loving and amazing and caring and friendly person to ever walk the earth, and at the same time is a Blutbad, one of the top 3 ferocious wesen. I think it helped Nick keep an open mind, I mean. His best friend is a blutbad why would he be hostile to any other wesen?!
And then he met Bud who is an eisbieber and would be described as coward and afraid but even though he has his moments, Bud is far from being a Coward.
Even knowing Nick was a Grimm he went back to get his tools, fixed his doors, became friends with Nick and even helped him MANY times.
Nick was surrounded by the best wesen possible
And Rosalie?! I mean "count your fingers after you shake hands with them" was Monroe's description of a Fuchsbau and Rosalie is the most compassionate, loyal, trustworthy person ever. If any person doubted her Nick and Monroe would probably kill said person without second thoughts, she had saved them countless times and is definitely the type of person you won't have to count your fingers after you shake hands with
Monroe is literally the "big bad wolf" from fairytales, and a vegetarian who fixes clocks. That's really nice character development.

I think it's partly because he is a 'next door' kind of guy. Monroe has the knowledge, Rosalee the spice shop, and the connections to the council, and bud is just bud.
These characters are so caring and sweet no matter what they can do or look like, how could anyone be scared . The people that they are inside way outweighs any outer thing. Once you understood they can do this then comes the question, why can't I do that lol 😃
4:49 I don't understand why Monroe's woge for only momentarily and aggressively? Doing that will only cause shock to poor Juliette. And for the other (Rosalee and Bud), they woge for a few seconds and they become calm before changing back to human form which is better.
I think he did it because his woge is a bit more scary looking so he tried to do it quick so she can see it but not have to look at it for so long that she might get too scared but I agree how quick it was plus how his voice sounds does make it seem alot more aggressive

I think Monroe is one of the best characters in any show, but I am very fond of Bud and any episode with him in it was special for the humor he brings and the good heart. Monroe is just the best friend a Grimm or anyone could hope to have on an adventure. I consider him right up there with Sam with Frodo.
The episode where bud is standing trial is such a good moment for him I love it

These TV services divide up the shows to stream under contracts so that they are not all showing the same show at the same time. That's why after Netflix dropped Grimm, Amazon Prime picked it up. I just wish one of them would pick up Person Of Interest again, since Netflix recently dropped it also.

"blutbad" means "Blood Bath" which is a noun that refers to a bloody mess or just a scenery with lots of blood and blood puddles etc. And idk about the word "Wesen" being the German word "Wesen" but it means creature.

One of the best scenes on the show. I loved this show. After 6 years of watching this show it’s like they were part of my family,which is why it was so difficult when the show was cancelled. If only they would do a spin off with the kids and Monroe and Rosalee’s kids!

I love this show, I got all six seasons a couple of years ago from a charity shop and from episode 1, I was hooked. The only other shows that I own that have given me this much pleasure binge-watching are True Blood, Rizzoli & Isles and Castle.
One awesome thing they dropped on the show was Nick ability to evolve when facing wesen, when he was blinded he got super hearing, whe he was turned into a zombie, he got that undead form were je gps stronger. Really wished they explored more of that.

My teenage son & I LUVVED this show... the concept was PURE GENIUS, IMHO, & the writing ranged from great to at least decent; also- some series just end on a weak note, but the series finale here was all I could ever hope for- it was PERFECT as far as I'm concerned! Anyone else...?

I'm not so sure if it would have been a good idea. Supernatural had a far darker tone and only a few supernatural beings were friendly, heck even only a few were neutral. How would they explain that in one place so many friendly beasts aggregate, whereas the rest of the USA is a S-hole full of danger?
Different networks, but some of the Supernatural's cast appeared in some episodes. Mark Pellegrino, Titus Welliver (War) and Sebastian Roché (Balthazar) are some that appeared in both shows.

This was a good show. I can't say I liked how the later seasons went or how they tried to recover it or the anticlimactic ending. I do appreciate the concept of it and the cast as a whole.
first 3 seasons are best, 4th was... ehh... well, a season. And the rest is just "binge watch and be done with it". I did like how the blonde witch and Nick tried to play family tho, one of the better things from later seasons.
Juliette was a great character, I never understood why some fans didn't like her.

Rosalee!! She's a cutie and a hottie in & out of woge! Soft, caring, mindful, & sweet overall. This one is show need reviving, and continuing on with the story, with the grown-up kids in the lead.

I ship Nick and Adalind waaay more than Nick and Juliette. Juliette is seriously the only bad thing about the show, the only mistake they did was not killing her off in the first season.
