Skip is very blinded by "his" cowboys. Tough game to draw optimism from no matter which way you cut it!
Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED The Boys are about to surprise all of these haters!!! We can win without Zeke. We have a few great Rbs so I don't want to hear that Zeke is carrying this team. Zeke is great but he isn't carrying the team. Dak doesn't get enough credit! We also got Sean Lee back on defense. And our D line has Irving and The beast Lawrence who leads the NFL in sacks now. We need to work a bit more on our defense for sure but watch what happens this year. The Cowboys are about to surprise everyone and silence all of that hate! I'll put money on that!

Realistically speaking, it's because they lost 5 games by a combined 13 points and the defense had looked good until yesterday. Fanatically speaking, you have to consider that the quarterback had not had much playing time and that should be taken into account. It was impressive and non-impressive all at the same time. 13 or so other teams lost yesterday, mine wasn't one of them.

This is the 49ers, so what if every game they played were close. It still doesn't matter.
They have not won a game, the Cowboys were successful at completely taking them out of the game early. Cowboy fans are not humble. They beat a winless team by 30 and are crowning themselves NFC champs. Every team has a down night every team has a night where they catch fire. Cowboys at best will be 9-7 at worst 7-9.

The biggest problem with Shannon’s argument is that he’s looking at a binary. It’s the same logic that says that Eli Manning is a better QB than Dan Marino. Wins are not binaries, just like losses are not. The quality of the win or loss is what matters. The Cowboys loss to the Broncos was a terrible loss. But the L to the Packers and Rams were good losses. They were very close games and could have gone either way. The same goes for the 49ers. They could have been a 5-1 team. That’s a big difference than the 0-6 joke that Shannon paints them to be.
If the Cowboys had lost to these 0-7 Niners then they’d be clowned. The Skins, Rams, and Seahawks, all potential playoff teams, almost lost to these same Niners. That’s why you give the Cowboys credit for playing how they should’ve against a 0-7 team.

As a Cowboy fan, my fellow fans are blowing this victory out of proportion. We blew out the 49ers; that's the equivalent of beating a toddler in a foot race. Yeah it was a landslide victory, but it's honestly not that impressive. We have tougher games coming up on the schedule. If we beat most of those teams, it will be time to take this season seriously. Until then we have proven nothing.
Any win the National Football league has to celebrated, and Shannon Sharpe understands that narrative. Winning consistently in the professionally football takes skill, and discipline. Wins are hard to come by, so any win is going to be hard fought. On any given Sunday any team can defeat their opponent. I believe this season is wide open for many teams to get hot. The Cowboys' have the offensive power to make some noise, however, on the defensive side they are a work in process. A win is a win, regardless of the opposing teams' win or loss record.
My question for all the Americans. How is kneeling more disrespectful to the flag than openly promoting the Confederate flag. If I'm not mistaken the people of the confederate opposed everything the American flag represented. Removed themselves from the union and fought against those who stood with the American flag. How are they not considered traitors or disrespecting the flag?
The Cowboys played very well. The big problem will come when or if Zeke is suspended for any amount of games. Dak will need to step up and start passing with more drive and hopefully starting on week 9 we finally get to see the Zues of TEs Rico Gathers hit the field and give us a BIG RedZone target.
