This was the one of the coolest movie that had come out back then. I remember I was only excited for the Matrix. And later MI2 i was so keen. Had the cassette with the songs. I remember watching this & Gladiator often on a VCD later.

Actually he is standing still. The camera is panning in arc when they are showing his face but the camera shouldnt pan when he is viewing the message as he is standing still.
I was 11 years old and I was so blown away by this intro. I thought Tom cruise was the epitome of cool lol. I adopted the characters persona when I left the theatre. I even asked my mother to buy me similar glasses for my birthday. Nostalgia.
He did absolutely freak out over China virus mask non-compliance during the filming of M:I:7, though, and flew off the handle towards his crew, which I didn't like at all, when he saw a couple of crewmembers weren't wearing masks or had them pulled down. (I'm anti-mask, myself, and quit a good paying job over it.) He should've treated them like fellow human beings, and not threatened everyone with firing and swearing at them all. Without a film crew, Mr. Cruise wouldn't be able to complete a single movie. He said he was saving the industry in Hollywood during the China virus and keeping people employed, but totally freaked out when some people weren't wearing a face diaper on set and threatened (with a lot of awful language) to fire anyone caught not complying again. I'd have quit over that outburst and treating the crew like they were disposable (and I think some people did, if I remember correctly).

This was a great era. The 90s had finally ended and people were waiting for where the trend would go. I had exactly the same hair and similar outfits as Cruise here, and man did it go down well with the chicks. The film's visuals, music, and Asian dramatics also felt cool and new. I must have seen it three times in the theatres.

I just wish from God to keep Tom Cruise safe throughout these stunts. Some of them are extremely dangerous even if cautious are being taken.
This was a great era. The 90s had finally ended and people were waiting for where the trend would go. I had exactly the same hair and similar outfits as Cruise here, and man did it go down well with the chicks. The film's visuals, music, and Asian dramatics also felt cool and new. I must have seen it three times in the theatres.

When it's a Tom Cruise movie, nothing is fake. Tom actually did this stunt himself, with safety harness ofcourse.
@@sanjitsiriguppi832 and he is one of the few not using stunt doubles, you are 100 right, I was referring to the fact that without harnes and ropes it would have been imposible to land from one peak to another and also stop a free fall just with your fingers, I never said it was not a real shot and enviroment, I was just talking about the physics
