In 1987, Dr. Jeppiar established Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. Earlier it was known as Sathyabama Engineering College. It is a Christian Minority Educational Institution and was given the status of deemed university in 2001. It offers many courses like Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aeronautics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. Along with engineering courses, it offers undergraduate courses in architecture, design, psychology, English, Physics, Commerce, Financial Accounting, and dental surgery.
Also, the college provides postgraduate courses in dental surgery, business administration, biotechnology, structural engineering, building management, English, Physics, and Chemistry. The institute also has the provisions for law, pharmacy courses, and PhD programmes.
Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology Admission Process
To fill up the application form of the institute, candidates have to fulfill eligibility criteria set up by the college. For taking admission to BE, BTech and BArch courses, candidates have to secure qualifying marks in the entrance examination conducted by the college. Questions will be asked from mathematics, physics, and chemistry in the examination.

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology Placement and Salary Trends
The number of offers floated has increased considerably over the years. In the 2018-2019 batch, the key employers were Amazon, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Godrej, Bajaj Auto, Renault, LTI, Hitachi, Renault Nissan, Capgemini, DXC, NTT Data, and Pulse Healthcare. 1,586 students participated in the placement drive and about 1,362 students got recruited. The package offered to the student was about INR 3,60,000 per annum on an average.
Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology Scholarships
The institution has decided a criteria to avail Dr. Jeppiar Remibai Scholarship. Candidates applying for it should hold one of the top three ranks in the university exam. A minimum of 75% is necessary. If a student gets more than 65% but less than 75% then a waiver of examination fee can only be availed for the following year.
Absolutely satisfied beacuse of good placements and education.
Placements: The placements are awesome. Many students will be placed. The placement percentage is about 96%. The highest package offered is 41 LPA and the lowest is 3.7 LPA. There will be top recruitment companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, capgmini etc. Many students will get placed.
Infrastructure: Coming to the infrastructure it is so good. We can enjoy the campus life. There will be many blocks in the college. And coming to the food it's excellent. We will have both veg and non-veg mess. The hostel is maintained very well. They will clean it daily.
Faculty: The faculty was soo good. They are so friendly. The teaching quality was excellent. One can choose the teacher they want for some classes. The semesters are easy compared to the others. All the faculty are Ph.D. scholars. It makes us study well. They are soo helpful.
