Agree with this 100%. You should have unlocked those costumes for Siegfried, Nightmare and Cervantes by beating legendary souls with those characters at least. And whether or not you can mod the game and give yourself the costumes it's irrelevant. It's IN the game, why not just give it to you? Like even if it's a bitch to unlock, if it's *in the game* it should just be unlockable.
I honestly love the Soul Calibur designs of Nightmare and Siegfried more then Soul Calibur 5. But I love their new Soul Calibur 6 form as much as the 4th game. I guess it has to do with Sigefried looking like a holy knight and Nightmare looking more like a demonic knight. Opposites yet 2 sides of the same coin. Besides that seeing this game again makes me remember all that time I spent playing as both of these characters and enjoying it. Plus your skills are great man.

Also, the theory is that the Raphael we see is some sort of ghost, and or, they (worshippers of Soul Edge or something) used his body as a sort of, I suppose, template for this new Nightmare.

Elysium using Phyrra Omega's style uses some of Sophitia's moves. Alpha Patrokolos' style is based on Setsuka's so I think Edge Master using that style might be a subtle nod to that. Cervantes was the first shown wielder of Soul Edge (who transforms into Inferno who is named SoulEdge in that game after being defeated) so it's a nice nod to have him with the Inferno-like look.

I have been thinking about modding tutorials for some time now, but I never get around to them. There are tutorials on TH-cam, though. PS3 is probably a little different, and since I don't have a PS3, I wouldn't know how to get them, but I know it's possible.
Lol nightmare is my main, and I see a lot of complains on how hard Legendary souls is, It's really easy once you get used to it. Highest record is 10 minutes.
Just by watching you, I can already guess you're the better player, even though your first 2 fights (Kilik, Nightmare) sucked. Especially the round against Edge Master was a real good display of skill with the wall combos and the followups for the ring out. My best time with Nightmare on Legendary Souls is 08'27"98 though ;)

Well, I don't use everyone, but I know bits and pieces. I'd have a tie between Voldo, Z.W.E.I., and Viola. Maxi is simple business once you know which moves lead into what. Hilda is all about knowing when to Hold and release.

Because 5 is hailed as the worst game in the series due to the fact that all the mechanics and combos were changed around to fight button spammers. The game doesn't require talent anymore in my opinion because most the good combos are locked behind a special bar system
You need skill to compete well (duh). So this game does require talent: sharp reflexes, fast execution, knowledge of your character and your opponent's character, good pokes, maximum punishment, etc. The list could go on. If you can't master at least a few of these attributes, you will get utterly creamed fighting other players.

Not saying the original poster isn't good just that undeniably this game was terribly constructed in the gameplay area. A lot of the original top players of the soul series like my self(toots on horn) don't play 5 purely because the player base is full of low tier combo spammers with easy characters that think their good but don't compare in talent to players of 1-4. I'm not knocking anybody what so ever that plays this game but I in my opinion of being a player that played every one of the games competitively when they either release or a a couple years after release don't think this game is as talent heavy as the other games project soul has made.

The stupid thing about this is that never explain Nightmare relations to the original. You have to found out in the guides or in the soul calibur archives. SC5 Nightmare is a entirely different Nightmare while the older one is not the same soul edge like this one.
personally I see a lot of wasted combo opportunities with nightmare. when you do the 36 AA move, you can use 23 C (gauge use) to wall combo, if you guard right after the 36 AA then you can land the 23 C (gauge use)just some constructive critism in case you wanted to perform better with nightmare, :)

Cervantes was the first shown wielder of Soul Edge (before Nightmare) and, in the game Soulblade which is a prequel to the Soulcalibur series, after he's defeated he transforms into Inferno. The whole story of the game was built around Cervantes as the main villain. In his Edge Master Mode, his story is about becoming the true owner of Soul Edge rather than following its will.

And that's why. First of all, you're mashing - that will get you absolutely nowhere. Second, the input is agA. There are no B inputs.

6A is fine, but is not optimal for damage and wall splats. I use default controls and slide from X to A and then press RT.
