The reason people become double champ is not necessarily that they move up to easier weight classes. The people who fight for double champ are often times long reigning champs who are like top 3 talent in the sport. It's not as if these are one defence people (aside from Conor)

When will people realise LHW and HW are bad divisions with not much talent. Bantamweight to welterweight all have 70-90 guys in each division LHW and HW only have 30-40. They’re shallow bad divisions. By definition of pound for pound the champs of those divisions should be higher on any pfp list, they’ve faced more diverse and skilled competition on average.

Yes, because the returning linear champion should fight the interim champion. Even if Aspinall loses to Blaydes, it’s irrelevant. The interim could be being help by Strawberry Shortcake or by Superman, if there is an active interim champion who is willing and able to compete upon the return of the linear champion, they should always fight
