Hi Kelly Bear, sorry I missed your live. I really enjoyed #Tarotadvent and hope you'll do something again next year. I used the Winter Waite for the first time and have to say, enjoyed it way more than expected. The glitter and festive scenes were perfect for candlelight draws. I did miss a few days when work got the best of me, but I am just about caught up now. I started trying to review the card meanings with a deep study, but ended up mostly doing light-hearted quick draws. I am looking forward to switching to a new deck for January, and plan to stick to Tarocchi for the whole month. Thank you again, Kelly, really enjoy "working along with you." Happy New Year and all things good your way.
Glad it went well. I can totally see how the sparkles in the Winter Waite would lend a little extra magic to an evening read. And I definitely think keeping it light was key for this. I had originally considered something for a deep dive, but little, light bites as a tarot treat each day made it manageable. Good luck with your next advent, I hope it's as enjoyable for you as this one has been. x
Hi, sorry I missed the live. I am still doing all my card draws. I am liking the deck I chose. I've done a variety of things with my draws, poems, mind mapping, comparing the cards to the Thoth, using the book Journaling the Tarot: Evolutions by Dreya Blume, writing a focused meaning using only 1 or 2 sentences, pairing it with an oracle. I did journal everyday. My 2 favorites were using the Tarot Evolutions and writing a focused meaning. My deck that I'm using is the Sacred She tarot. I really liked the 3 card format and I'm learning to be more open (as in not always sticking with a traditional meaning) with my readings as well as blending the cards together. I am planning on doing this again in January to get to know another of my decks better.
Hiya! Sorry for the late reponse, only just getting to my messages after a bit of a holiday break. How did you get on with the rest of the advent? It sounds like mixing it up was really working for you too (it definitely helped me stick to it, for sure). Love that so many people are letting me know that they are doing this again next month, I might give it a go again in the new year too. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. x
@@lilpinkbear I really enjoyed the entire advent process. My six card draw on Christmas I did as a reading and found the cards gave me a lot of food for thought. I don't do predictive readings more like self reflection. I ended up really appreciating this deck and I feel it will be a staple in 2025. I hope you have a Happy New Year and my all your wishes for your 2025 come true. Thank you so much for creating this project!
@@whalesong813 oh cool! I love that you had some juicy stuff to dig into with your final six cards. Happy New Year to you too, I hope it brings you what you wish for too. x
i've absolutely loved this! I'm using Ink Witch by Eric Maille. i'm actually proud of myself for keeping up with it LOL. it helped that i've allowed myself to pull them at any point in the day instead of trying to get myself to do it like first thing in the day or whatnot. i typically never do daily draws unless im really mulling over something specific or experiencing something i feel i need more support through. on days i dont know what to read about i've just checked what other people are doing to find something that sounds fun! for christmas i plan on reading the six cards as three two-card readings, with each one informing the other. idk how to explain it LOL
I think just pulling at any time of day I had the time to really helped me stick to this too. Glad you managed to follow along the whole way. I hope you're three two-card readings gave you some juicy stuff to mull over. Thank you for taking part! x
I couldn't make the live, but I'm catching up now. I would definitely do this again, not just for advent. I would use it to get to know a deck better. I prefer the random order of pulling cards, instead of working through from the fool to the end as it feels more fun and less like studying 🤣. I would either stick with 3 card pulls or maybe 2 cards. 🌟 I also like how we get to see every card in the deck this way, rather than getting reoccurring cards. I feel like I never see some cards in certain decks!
Yeah, I agree that the random pulling of cards is more fun. Having that unknown quality makes it less predicatble and mundane. I think 2 card pulls could work just as well, maybe I will try it with just 2 the next time I give this a go. Very good point about sometimes not seeing some cards in decks! At least this way we get a good look at every card. I have read the Bohemian Gothic Tarot guidebook in its entirety (apart from a few bits about the history and structure of the tarot at the beginning), and it didn't feel like a chore because it was done in manageable chunks. Thank you for watching and commenting. Good luck with your next tarot advent! x

You keep mentioning "TarotTreat" - good name for your next project!
Ha! Now, what would that entail? Sounds like just treating myself to tarot decks. lol.
I could get with that. ;)
