I have two drones: the Mavic 3 Pro and the Mini 4 Pro. The Mini 4 Pro is so small and light that, whenever I go out, I can take both my Mavic 3 Pro and my spare Mini 4 Pro to use if the Mavic battery runs out. I think both these drones are SIMPLY AMAZING, and when reviewing the footage side-by-side, there is not that much of a difference. I only got the Mavic 3 Pro because the Mini 4 Pro is 35mph, and the Mavic 3 Pro is 47mph, which could be useful for tracking fast moving animals or vehicles, plus the Hasselblad camera system is very good at recording videos with lots of movement without to much motion blur, maintaining a crisp and clear video in every frame, but honestly, if you are on a budget, just go for the Mini 4 Pro. Only £690 and it's really the best Mavic 3 Pro alternative, and you are still getting 4K 60fps, and all the safety features like obstacle avoidance.
I looks like you were too demanding with that drone. You should also know its limitation rather than testing it with your likings. Remember, you are testing a smaller, compact drone with 249grams. Just test what the drone can do and NOT what it can't do. but I agree to some of your points.
For me, waypoints, better video framerate options, and ocusync 4 were some big selling points of the 4 over the 3. I was excited about dlog, but it doesn't appear to be much of an upgrade from cinelike. I do like the overlaid home icon so I can see where I am. Overall, the 4 was worth the extra money for me and I'm super happy with this upgrade from the original Air.
You do make fair points. That home icon is indeed a very cool feature but didn’t they add that to the software for mini 3 pro? Anyway glad you enjoy it brother
@@Unfilterd if they did, I wasn't aware of it, but I only had the 3 pro for a day before exchanging because I really liked the other new features on the 4 and decided it was worth it. Waypoints might be the single biggest selling point for me for doing smooth complex maneuvers. The augmented reality features, especially that home point, are just nice quality of life features. I'm also a fan of the fact that the 4 doesn't broadcast RID when using the standard mini 4 pro battery as well.
No problem! It’s because they want to get the drone for free every year and maybe even pre-release. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you 😉 I still love DJI drones though, but don’t think the mini 4 pro is much of an upgrade
I have a mini pro 4 but crashed it i was thinking about getting another one upgrading from the mini pro 4. What would you suggest for better auto tracking? Air 3S? or would Air 3 suffice?
@@Unfilterd Tracking what.......an escaped prisoner. The USDOD's ban on DJI drones is partly based on their ability to be used in wartime situations. Ah…..the K1200S…..my long lost love! I sold mine (2006 model, bought in Nov 2005 (birthday present)) in 2013 after 88k miles. I didn’t replace it until 2022, with a new style RT, which is why I bought a drone. Now, I bought a Mavic Air 2 in 2021, expecting yo buy my bike that year, but my wife said I had to wait for my pension. Then, as it happened, I never made a drone video with the bike (RT). I bought a mini 4 pro as a (self) Christmas present, but have only flown it once, but bought it for the bike and ease of use. So it wa interesting to see you hurtle off on your K1200S (with 170bhp) and expect your tiny drone to keep up🤣! However, your advice is now noted and I’ll have to find suitable locations to film my travels on the RT. Thanks for the great video. Ride safely!
Hahaha! Yes a mate of mine was driving it but even on sport mode (with sensors disabled) it could barely keep up at 50km/h. He was going easy for this video for sure. Good story!
The name of your channel, Unfilterd, seems to be appropriate. When I listen to reviews I don't want to hear just what I want to hear, but more what I don't. I was going to buy the Mini 3 Pro, but I can't even find a new one to buy as they are out of stock everywhere. I don't know if this is intentional by DJI or not, so people will buy the Mini 4 Pro. After watching a lot of videos about the Mini 4 Pro, that I'd pull the trigger for a couple of hundred dollars more, mostly because I didn't know when I'd ever be able to get the Mini 3 Pro. I ordered it with the Fly More package and the RC2, and expect it in a couple of days. With that being said, I have seen more than one video talking about the obstacle avoidance, and how it can be fooled, especially by thin branches etc. I was also concerned about the brightness of the RC2, even though a lot of videos say you can use it in sunlight. That remains to be seen, but I bought a sun hood for it which also doubles as protection, and even covers the control sticks so you don't have to take them off. I'm hoping that will help out, because it's not realistic to think it will always be a cloudy day, or I'd have shade to stand in. The RC2 just seemed like a no brainer because of the convenience of it. It' s only money. 😁 Keep up the great work!
For the size of the drone I think the drone does phenomenal following after all it is a mini drone. Thanks for the video. The only problem with using the iPhone is it well damn it’s up in the heat, hot weather and using the iPhone for drunk lion does not mix with the phones battery
@@Unfilterd how is it a better value? It's only a $30 difference between the Mini 3 Pro ($729 with RC Remote) vs Mini 4 Pro ($759 with regular remote)

Why would I send up a drone to track me only to try to evade it? I don't see the commercial demand.
Maybe to see how well it will track?

What would you recommend for a fast drone. With a comparable camera
I just bought the fly more combo with the e tra fight time batteries but I really want to seel it an get the avata.
