A chip does not work like a locator does. It can only help if pet is lost, scanned and has owners contact information, IF the person who finds the pet takes to the vet to have it scanned for the information. Just like a dog or cats chip.
Mom you could change the watch belt to make it longer
if it has a camera on it to let you know where LYLY is, how will it work if it's covered by her dress? Does it have GPS?

Hmm...I'm starting to see the beginnings of teenage rebelliousness and independence. Lyly is growing and so is her curiosity.
It is good to use a navigation device on Lyly. It is natural for Lyly to try to explore and go further from home, looking for adventure and playmates to play with. Lyly is getting older. The problem is that Lyly gets into trouble when she explores her environment on her own. When she was with her aunt, she was chased by a dog and rescued by the neighbors, who put her into a cage, which is traumatic for her, but understandable, because Lyly would get lost or bitten by the dog, if she was not safely put into the bird cage. Today she played a little far from home. She will do that again. It is in her nature to explore and go farther from home every time.

The video's that we see are made in the evenings after their work hours. And they are edited late at night before posting them. You have no idea what they do for a living. I think the gps was a great idea. I definitely don’t want to see Lyly confined. She is smart and she can’t be returned to her natural life at this point. She is caught between 2 worlds. I feel like she is cared for and she is happy and healthy but maybe her mom could just find different ways to keep her mentally stimulated. I would not recommend getting another monkey. It is difficult enough to care for 1 monkey. Maybe mom can rotate toys for her so she doesn’t get bored with them. She can put them away then bring them back out so it’s like they are brand new. Also maybe try taking her out more to climb trees and forage for insects. Like everyday a time just for Lyly. I know it ends up being more work but Lyly is worth the effort.
Agree! She needs more stimulation to keep her brain busy and more exercise. But sometimes it is hard when you have your own lives to live with a pet. Much like dogs, you can't give them your full attention 24/7.

The belt is not too tight but it is a little uncomfortable for Lyly, but necessary. And you are right she needs playmates. She is not yet in her puberty though.

They work outside of the house and don't have time to raise another baby monkey. Plus she has her daughter, cat and chicken to take care of, the house and their jobs. If she were to get another monkey, they would have to spend their time in a cage. Not what they want to do.
