This sounds like creating a private label without actually making a private label. We have our own business, LLC, and are looking at suppliers directly. I’m sorry if I’ve missed it (watched twice) but how is this different than a private label? Other videos I’ve seen have detailed contacting distributors themselves and saying “hey I can improve listing quality etc, can we form a partnership?” And sell under their listing. Am I wrong, or is that the differentiating from going to brands vs suppliers? Sorry!

For LLC you can directly go to lawyer OR the other option is there are so many service providers that are providing LLC formation service in different states of US. So you can take thier service for this and keep yourself away from this LLC hactic. If you want any help regards LLC formation, you can ask anytime.

Yes you can do this. Buy any product from market and sell it on Amazon but then it will considered as "Retail Arbitrage". As in wholesale we go to brands for their approval, so for that LLC is must to show them your a legit business

There are strategies to prevent that from happening. But more risky than what? Ordering a product from China (in bulk as well) and hoping to take some of the market share from other brands that are already established? I think it's less risky having data on the EXACT product you intend to sell before you make the purchase.

Yes, you're buying brand name products that are already selling on amazon but you're getting it at wholesale price from suppliers. The products need to be prepped to amazon's requirements which will be vastly different than the manufacturers packaging in a lot of cases.
We need LLC because in wholesale business we need reseller certificate that we get after LLC registration second things most brand doesn't allow you to me too without professional company and adress so LLC is mandatory.
You can run PPC in wholesale business but it is not much needed here. The reason is the listing already have some standings so you just have to me too in the listing and try to get more buybox as possible

You will need to put the amount sold. When you file your taxes for the year, you'll break down what is profit and what is revenue to your accountant.
