It has become something of a cult classic so it’s interesting how it flopped at the time. I think Elmer Gantry was his best performance and he was at his most handsome and charismatic in From Here to Eternity. Truly one of the greatest ever and very liberal with attitudes way ahead of his time.

Zulu Dawn was not Burt Lancaster's greatest film. He seemed to be in a different film to the rest of the cast, a comedy, judging by his accent.
