Awww these two love birds on the wire are starting to look so adorable. I enjoy seeing how your composition comes together so effortless. Like the tummy of the first bird with the lace, the organza sky and how your trees in the horizon looks. I overthink way too much when trying to put my pieces together and half of the time I don’t like what I came up with. Your work is so simple and pretty that inspires me to continue to work on my own projects.
I'm sure yours must be lovely too. Mostly we are our own worst critic. Other people don't see the things we feel are mistakes. That's what I think anyway ☺️💐

Marion these combination of fabric on your birds and background are fabulous together. I just love organza, I have lots of it left over from making flowers. This is wonderful use of it. Here in Michigan our swallows come in spring, and I have a birdhouse they've used for several years. I've hosted 4 broods, they are graceful birds. Lovely embroidery Marion 🍒
Thank you Yvonne. Yes, the swallows arrive here in the spring. They're starting to gather already. In a few weeks they'll be off back to Africa for the winter.😊

☺️Thank you. I think it's just that I do so much...my brain gets into the habit of creating. If you have time to regularly do something you get better with practice. Plus, years ago I didn't have the money to buy supplies, so I got into the habit of using other things and finding my way.😊
They're so lovely to watch. I see them lining up on the wires in preparation for Africa. But I never actually see them leave. One day they just won't be there until next spring!

What a lovely bird it is already. I think it is funny, you have that bundle of threads and just take a thread you want to work with. I got a bundle like that too, and I use it on my embrodery patchwork.
Looks like it's going to be another beautiful page Marion 😊 I tried to crochet a hat today but it came up to small, so I decided to make it into a basket then it ended up as a little drawstring bag 😂 but I didn't unpick it lol. I think all you're embroidery is wall worthy especially the nest. My daughter took the abandoned blackbird nest down from the shed this weekend and there where still 3 blue eggs in there, it was her second lay and she sat for ages but they didnt hatch. I thought of you when she sent me a little video of it. and now I'm waiting for a taste of my ice cream when it's ready , looking forward to a sewing dress video if you film it, and the lid box too.🤗🌈

@marionsworld24 Hi Marion, it was absolutely delicious 😁 I love the lemon curd and meringue one most it is surprising that the merangue stays crisp. the other one with Blackberryy and Blueberry juice was really good, too. I may have to make a toffee one next Hehe now you have planted the seed. It would be nice to watch the lid turn into an array of coloured thread storage 🙂 I have successfully made another hat with fluffy pompom and almost finished another one tonight, it's good to change crafts for a bit as I was slow stitching and needle felting before I was luckily given rather a lot of beautiful wool. 💗 I will be off to mum's this week to make the blackberry and apple jam. 🤞 I have to catch up with your last videos. My partner has had his second knee op now, and I think I will have some time now. Lovely work! I love how you just go for it. I’m trying to train myself to be less rigid in all things (except folding laundry because I feel complete when everything is folded just so). Your first bird is nicely faithful to the swallow in the book. Bluebirds and tree swallows share the bluebird houses my husband made. I’m not completely sure they’re happy together, but what can we do? They have to work it out. Wouldn’t you know it? It’s after 1:00 a.m. and I think the a smoke alarm might be starting to pip. Oh goodness Mara... I hope you got the alarm turned off or the batteries changed 😅 I think I just pick things up and see what happens... Sometimes it doesn't work, but I hardly ever unpick something. I struggled years ago with having to have everything perfect.... It can be crippling, because it can stop you achieving anything. Nowadays I still want things to be as good as possible, but I don't bother about a missed stitch or a wobbly line anymore ☺️

I had a lot of organza given to me by someone who dresses wedding venues. It's the fabric they use as table runners and to tie around chairs. There was so much I gave lots away to another two people as well!
