You are the UK’s leading expert on engine outs!!! I used to worry about having one, but feel much better after seeing yours!!!! 😂
I’ll be honest, I’ve only ever used E5 on my Paramotor and never had an issue (Moster).
It's getting a bit embarrassing now to be honest. Giving both motors some love this weekend!
@@markallisonparamotor good man!!! 👍
Thanks for sharing Mark. Glad you restarted the engine OK the ground below looked wet. Shame your camera packed up again but the footage you had up to then was great. Safe landing and happy flights .
I'm not having a lot of luck with my gear lately, but I'm determined to sort it all out once and for all!
Appreciate sharing your moment us
Excellent video again Mark, wonder what causes that engine out problem? I always use Tesco Momentum 99 with my Moster.
I'm going to try better fuel, but I suspect it's partly neglect on my part, by not tuning properly and cleaning it out regularly enough, and the Atom being more susceptible to carb icing than most.
“Your paramotoring skills are truly impressive! Your control, smooth takeoffs, and precise landings show great expertise and confidence
Very kind mate, I didn't detect any sarcasm! 😆
Nice restart Mark. Great scenery. I hope to see EFI become more affordable and or better battery tech.
Yeah I have been looking at the EFI, but there are several drawbacks. Weight, a massive lithium battery in the air, the expense of it, long battery recharge times, etc. Spare batteries not cheap.
Apart from that, look great.
yayyy!! This was a great flight, Mark!!! Thank you for sharing! Gutted that your GoPro quit part way in there... 🪂🪂🪂
Hmmm, interesting that you fly with E10, I always use E5 and never had carb icing problems in the 3 engines I flew with.
Summer is coming!
Thanks, looking forward to flying with you again soon! I will be using E5 from now on, let's see if it makes a difference.
From a glider pilot, general aviation pilot and fellow TH-camr, I love these videos! Please keep up the great work!
Glad you like them!
Nice vid again. I love the way you say the amount of aerial activity is worrying and immediately sip some more tea. Must've been positively terrified.
Haha! I must have seen 5 or 6 GA light aircraft on that one. Very busy area. Tea helps lol
Another great flight.
If I don't manage to find training and get flying this year I am going to sell my 2nd hand wing and paramotor!
This month I will be 67, time is running out!
Thanks for posting Mark.
Where are you located?
Do the training and fly fly fly.
Mark was my inspiration.
It's the most amazing thing ever.
@@Paramotor_Jon Mid Somerset, I hope to get something lined up.
BOOK IT IN NOW! Get it done mate, don't delay. I'm serious.
@barrywebber100 don't sell up buddy I'm on my 36th year paramotoring and pg and I'm on way to being 70 flying is what keeps me going in life so don't give up do the training and enjoying the moment you will not regret it mate 👍
Mark, you might try a 12v silicone pad (ebay)with a simple on/off switch to a small 12v battery. There are numerous types - one might be a 20mm strip wrapped round between the carb intake and air filter.
Thanks for that, do you have any links to an example?
I've tried on three occasions but no matter how I try to sanitise it it keeps getting deleted.
Nice video excited to see how the DJI looks.
Apparently two stroke oil can freeze, maybe it's that? minus 20 would do it, so maybe in the venturi it gets that cold, especially in this weather.
I have no idea! My Moster very rarely cuts out if it's tuned properly. Maybe once or twice in 550 hours.
Love the DJI,never had a problem with it at all
Yeah I have flown with it already and I'm impressed, stay tuned for dji footage!
That was a great flight ❤❤
Can't wait for the next one!!
Awesome! 😎 👍
To have a cuppa up there is the most British thing I've seen in paramotoring hahahaha
hi jeff what was up with your motor at the parafest event.when I saw you.
Very important this time of year! ☕🍵🤣😂
hi mark use e5 with frosts ethomix fuel treatment it takes out the ethanol, mix is 1ml per 1ltr and can keep fuel for along time ive never had a problom with it and keeps your carb in good condishion and a cleaner head and piston
Interesting, I will give that a try thanks.
Where does the ethanol go?
@turkeyphant hi mate mix with fuel
@@frosty2331 yes but where does it go? You still pour the fuel into your tank...
@turkeyphant mix in can like you do with the oil then put in your paramotor tank
Nice vid again mate , I always find my GoPro is dull for the footage
Thanks, I thought your vids look fine
@ thanks mate , when I see on the tv it looks dull .
I love that you ask Jeff and co, if they have sandwiches & tea, and they laugh......... It wasn't a rhetorical question. Just good manners and good planning
Haha, tea is essential this time of year as long as you don't drink it too early in the flight! 😁
Hi Mark, I really love your videos and your calm professionalism and willingness to fly all year. We have a really good flying school north of us in Lincoln, and I would love to give paramotoring a go. I have done a tandem paraglide and also a couple of static line jumps. I'm sure you've been asked this before, or even covered it in one of your videos, but how much roughly does it cost to get started and what are the annual maintenance costs please?
Go down to ufly4fun at Wingland airfield and speak to Mike, tell him I sent you. He will go through it all with you, I don't know what the costs are these days. Annual maintenance very much depends on how many hours you fly. But I would say £500-1000 for a high hours pilot for wing and motor services.
Is there not a device where you can pull hot air from the exhaust into the carb to add carb heat when required? I'm surprised no ones come up with that it would be light and pretty simple?
I think it's uncommon enough that it's not normally required, I don't think it was icing in this case though, my engine just needs a service and a tune (I hope!!!).
Time to get rid of that gremlin in your motor, once and for all.
Prob old plug after all
@@Paramotor_Jon you might be right!
The DJI Osmo is very good, I use its previous version in all my paragliding videos over the last two years. Never have any issues with a good quality microSD card 500Gb. Build quaility is better IMHO as wel. Good luck and nice video👍
Good to know!
Hi Mark
Don’t use E10 fuel as it’s Hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs water from the air. This is because E10 fuel contains ethanol, which is also hygroscopic.
I only use Shell V-power in my Paramotor engines, far better fuel and more stable.
Yes I'm going to use that from now on, cheers. E10 in the Moster has never been a problem but I think the Atom is fussier.
You need that new 4 stroke motor mate 👌
Tell me about it, very tempting, lots of power too.
@markallisonparamotor I think the eos team should Sponsor you mate 👍 There's not many people in the UK that do such great videos like you and a lot of them
@ they probably don't want me ruining the brand by cursing it with engine failures 🤣🤣

looks like the way to go.
I have just purchased the Action Pro 5, also the DJI Mic 2 they really go together well. Awesome flight over the city.
Yeah i'm loving mine already, had a few flights now and it has been reliable so far. 🤞
@@markallisonparamotor Do you use the DJI Mic 2 ?
No just a 3.5mm cheap mic off amazon with the dji audio adapter.
@@markallisonparamotor OK, nice, because the audio is very good,
@ I haven't posted any footage of the dji yet, that was the GoPro with the GoPro audio adapter. Soon though...
