I needed this video. I'm so scared. I have a herniated disc in my lower back I think it's C5 and I have scoliosis and I have a non tumorous cyst in my mid spine and I am due July 11th I want to give a natural birth but I am so scared that I will become paralyzed or that my back won't be able to handle it but this video gave me a lot more hope
I also had lots of fears about pregnancy with spinal cord injury. I was admitted a couple of times due to recurrent UTI and had to do a CS for some reasons. In the end, it turned out great. I had my beautiful baby last year and am happy. It could really be challenging and I would be happy to answer your questions if you have any.
3 vaginal births with herniated disc at L5/S1 and L/S arthritis. I should have gotten a microdisctectomy after the first baby. It was HORRIFIC pain, every time. I couldn't walk after I hit 3cm. The pain stalls my labor and I need pitocin. I waited far too long to get epidurals with each birth. I was trying to be "tough". My latent pain is much worse after these births (my injury was at 18 years old, snowboarding accident). If you have lower spine/sacral herniations...I suggest managing your injury before labor begins or electing for a c-section.
I was born with spina bifida thankfully I can walk I was told never able to walk or talk believed born damage but I surprise them. I think about having kids all the time just haven't found a love one to love me as I am. I heard by people who had spina bifida too had kids one of them had multiple twins a few times after told never able to have kids.
I have Spina Bifida too! In my case, I was diagnosed with Myelomeningocele. I really want to have kids but I don't know if I would be capable to do that. Also, I'd love to find a man who loves me as I am. Greetings to y'all!
I had a car accident 7 years ago and my spine was slightly fractured I had surgery I started to walk after three months of treatment I often have only leg pains Now I am two months pregnant. Then they say that there is a chance that the child will not be able to walk, otherwise the child is likely to be affected
i broke a piece of my L4,L5 my lower spine and i have numbness in my right lower back and numbness in my right leg and i cracked my hip also about a year ago in 2021 i dont have much pain other than when i bend right over to the floor would i still be able to conceive carry and deliver since thats my lower spine and how long should i wait to try for a baby i had my first child before the accident and i would like a few more children in the future would i able to carry? i can walk really good im healthy and able to do anything my concern is would i still be able to carry a child again im 23 years old
I gave birth with two herniated discs and I’m not going to sugar coat it it was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life I felt like I was dying. Not cause the pushing but cause when they gave me the epidural the medication was cold and it gave me a spasm. I love my son I would do it all over again for him, but man it was bad. Everyone was so scared for me.
